Denzel rocked two of these bad boys like a total badass in Training Day (2001), one of his best roles of all time! One of my favorite actors packing one of my favorite guns...what's not to like?!
Hell yeah, dude. One of my favorite movies--it's one I can watch, like, once a year and still be into it. Check out my full review on this gun (Walk Softly and Carry a Big Smith)--I talk about Training Day a lot :) Also... Keanu rocks one of these in Street Kings, too.
This is probably the best looking one ive seen in a while, i really like the Rear sight base guard and the more roundy trigger than than the regular 4506, i also love the flat top slide and the slide mounted decocker it just look's perfect.
Thanks, buddy. Yeah, I dig the look of the 4506-1 the most. Just clean and baddass. I'll also say the adjustable sights--while just "neat"--add a practical value as well. You can just kinda dial in your extact POI.
Heavy out of heavy…Amen ..if I didn’t see another optic ready gun in my life, I’d be fine with it.or at least have the option to not have to look at hex heads. Up top. Got cheaper & assume everyone is into it ..dig the metal 45.
Thank you, my friend! Yeah, I'm the same way--optics aren't my thing. The superimposed dot never feels completely stable to my eye. And yes... gotta love the big old steel .45s. Thanks!
Haha. I think I answered this comment when I replied to your other comment. But yeah, the he carried the earlier version of this gun in Miami Vice (the 4506) in seasons 5 and 6 and the earlier of THAT (the 645) in seasons 3 and 4. He carried the Bren 10 in seasons 1 and 2.... and the Sig P220 in the pilot episode!! Thanks again!

Nobody ever mentions that Keanu rocked one of those in Street Kings
Yeah, I should have mentioned that in my review. I literally watched that movie purely because there’s a 4606-1 in it.
The gun from fight club and Miami vice
Now I need to watch fight club. Thanks!
wish they still made these
Me too, brotha. Feels like something is missing without them.
Is there any sight replacements for those?
Yes! Trijicon offers replacements for the Smith 3rd gen adjustable sights.
Vic mackey kept everyone in line with this one! As soon as I'll go to america this will he my best friend for sure
Yep! I feel every American should be issued a 4506-1 😁 Thanks!
Training day mofo
Yup. I watch that movie like once a year. In fact… It’s about that time of year…
@@HipsterTactical me too lmao

@@HipsterTactical I love the look of Smith Wesson 3rd generation stainless steel pistols. Especially 4506-1 and 1006 they are my favorite
Yo! I know that Hipster! Nice Shooting, Matt! 💥💥💥💥
Thanks, Frank! See, hipsters CAN shoot... when we're not drinking kombucha :)

Thats a badass S&W 👍👍
Thanks, man! I feel baddass when I shoot it.
@@HipsterTactical I would too😄
Is that the Miami vice gun? - love it

Training Day, son! Denzel carries two of these bad boys.
Reminds me of my S&W 659...well kinda :)
And S&W 1006 too
Ooo, nice. I kinda want a 659. Or a 639--the single stack. Smith & Wesson stainless is like therapy for my gun hipster soul.
I need to get another 10mm. Had a 1076 for a minute.
Very nice.. Need to add one of these old Smiths to my collection.
I'd say you definitely do! They're sweet pistols. Thanks so much for the comment.
