So proud of these kids. Seem to have good heads on their shoulders. The last part was great that a kid his age doesn't want the fancy car and way more impressed that he thrifts his clothes. So cool.

Their little squeaky voices are adorable. Their innocence, curiosity and willingness to go online for millions to view with their uncle. It's nice to see when so many have unrealistic expectations about what is normal at those ages.

Just came here to thank Dr. Mike for his chest compressions. I just saved my friends life the other day after he stopped breathing. Turns out he has a heart arythmia that was undetected.
I'm a Professor of Psychology. Retired. I did this exercise with my graduate students. It's called "telephone game". Fallibility of human communication is real.😅
I took my nephew to a Halloween event in the park and a lady behind me said if your grandma want to take a break I can stay here and watch him . I was flattered and insulted at the same time because I was in my early 20s. I have been mistaken as my nephews mom , grandma, or sibling .

I found the question of the choped arm super interesting! We are able to grow new skin, bone material, flesh in different parts of our bodies, some of our organs can regenerate, why can’t we grow a full new body part, like lizzards? We grow them in utero, why do we loose this capacity after? There has to be a biological explanation, and I think it’s about stem cells. I cannot explain the mechanism though, it’s above my knowledge (not a doctor nor a biologist). But I wonder, could research on stem cells one day lead us to develop techniques or therapies which could make us capable of growing new arms and legs? That would be so awsome

Bullying can lead to harassment and that CAN affect people. It can give them anxiety and depression or even lead to suicide. So I don't know why Mike didn't mention that.
Yeah, pretty ironic seeing him brush off bullying with the "only you can make yourself happy or sad" argument when like, MIKE, REMEMBER ALL THOSE TIMES YOU GOT BENT OUT OF SHAPE OVER NEGATIVE COMMENTS??? You had a whole podcast where you made up with that British doctor who made you lose your entire mind 🤣 And that wasn't even bullying, just a disagreement that got a little heated.
Mental health issues run in my family. I was bullied right up until college. I would say Mike speaks some truth. No one can make you depressed unless you already suffer from some sort of mental health issue. Some of the most loved people have taken their own lives, proving that depression goes a lot deeper than bullying. As I’ve got older I’ve realised I control how I let other people affect me.
Bullying isn’t right, but cannot be solely blamed for younger people taking their lives.

14 year old is time when your voice is changing to the point you can't talk like you normally would and you need to wait until the voice stops changing to start develop new way of talking so its doesnt sounds weird.

I'm literally watching this while doing my physio assigned exercises to help with a tear I got a few weeks back in my anterior tibiofibular ligament 😂.
I did it exactly like described too, I'm a runner and I'm marathon training and I took a dodgy step off the curb mid-run and landed all twisted.
After doing so much physio on that area I had the giggles during the pronunciation.
It was a pretty impressive effort though if you've never heard of it before. Could have been so much worse.

As a teen I’m not depressed, just overly stressed. Literally between school, competitive dance, all that, omg. I feel so disconnected from my friends and life outside all of this so uh yah that’s why teens are depressed/stressed.

They try to do some stretches ng and exercises but the damands of homework and classwork counter all the good work they do to making their necks feel better.

Hi Doctor Mike, I have a quick question, so my boyfriend has a major allergy to shellfish and even the slightest touch, smell or use of cutlery that comes into contact sets off his allergies. He's always scared of going to places specifically by the coast for the slightest chance they use shellfish. Do you think they would ever be able to develop a test kind of like a drug test or those pool chemical tests to test for certain proteins in everyday food items?
