Her mother died suddenly at 80 but was more active lived alone despite near blindness. She was a military wife and always so strong. It’s sad. I will keep offering.

I love her no build and her spirit. I tend to prefer the coziness and creativity that no builds have, and the ability to change things around, rather than a build that you’re stuck with in a way. I hope you plan a history tour, that was always something my parents focused on during some of her trips growing up.

Bless her! What a spirit of adventure! The two things I do not like are same as her. I don't want to have to pull anything big, or have to empty a black water tank. Yep! Fine tuning what you need for yourself, keeps you happy on the road. I feel like going out as minimal as possible.

I didn't believe Lee was the age she said she was! She's taking along a reminder of her daughter, and if I head out, I will be taking along reminders of my Mom. Hope I can still be traveling and be as spry in 10 years when I’m 84. She has everything she needs and is bringing her daughter along via Winnie. She could just take out her bed and cover most everything else up with a few blankets so no condo people can tell what it is.

Very cool van love way she has it set up yes you do t look your age so nice to see people your age out there living your life like you want I wish I can get my grandma to live like this but after my grandfather died she doesn't like to leave home and get very panicky she's 83 going on 84 and her full-time caregiver she's got dementia really bad my mom died from it at age 58 is so very positive to see other people living like this I just want my grandma to live happy till the end of her days it's a struggle everyday but I try to do a positive thing everyday with her thank you very much for showing these videos

I lean more towards the "no build" type since I believe in less is more and prefer scenery & mountains to "things". Just purchased my first Jackery & also a smaller portable power bank...already tried out the smaller (HOWEASY from Amazon) one & it's amazing! I can't wait to feel that freedom of being on the road. I've always loved road trips & have always been a gypsy at heart. Where did Lee get those disposable/zippered waste bags? Those are perfect! Thanks for sharing her story with us. I love how you talk with the women, more like a friendly conversation than a van life "interview" which I love. So sorry for your loss, Lee. 💜
@@ButterflyTracks Oh thanks :-) It looked like the black bag was attached to the zipper bag (which I thought was handy but have never seen that kind) and her potty was a bucket w/toilet seat on top of it...I'm guessing Home Depot or a store like that maybe? I've seen the buckets used in many other videos, seems easy enough, but have never seen the black/ziploc type bags. I don't like ordering a lot from amazon so was hoping they sell those type of bags at a box store, etc. Did you happen to see the brand name or anything? Been getting things ready for my van life starting next Spring & trying to find some really good, biodegradable waste bags. Thanks for replying, hope you have a beautiful day and so glad I found your channel, you have such a calming and friendly personality and I've really enjoyed your van tours of the other solo women travelers. 🙂
