    Eastonmade makes a very well-built splitter. Fast return, durable, reliable, nice size loading deck, and best of all saves your back. Eastonmade is a cut above the rest, no pun intended.

    It did look miserable today but it reminded me of time many years ago as a younger man when I worked as a carpenters helper stick framing houses. As summer turned to fall in Victoria BC I asked my boss what do we do when the rains come, do we keep working? He said, if we didn't work in the rain we wouldn't work much so get ready to work in the rain.

    Another youtuber joins the Eastonmade splitter family. I think that splitter will help your firewood operation out quite nicely. You'll be able to easily make bundle wood out of the largest, gnarliest of rounds and I think it would give your timberwolf box wedge splitter a run for its money in terms of production. Looking forward to seeing it in operation in the log yard.

    • @user-dw9ou9sg2p

    • @jakebredthauer5100
      @jakebredthauer5100 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With the box-wedge you get four pieces per split but with Axis you get only one or two pieces per split.

    • @bwillan
      @bwillan ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jakebredthauer5100 The Axis has a 4 second cycle time, so making the multiple splits needed to get 4 or more pieces might be a wash or slightly faster than their timberwolf box wedge. Also there will be less chaff/waste/non uniform splits. It will be interesting to see their results.

    • @jakebredthauer5100
      @jakebredthauer5100 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bwillan
      The only reason to use a Axis is if you have odd sized or difficult pieces to start with or if you want the bundle wood. To make regular wood fromm regular logs the horizontal will win the cords per hour race every time. Would you rather be holding that log so the splitter can split it or would you rather be fetching another log.
      Look at those who have the vertical machines. They are either small operators or they use the verticals as a backup. I think the reason Tony likes his is because he is so tall.

    As I watch these videos I am warm in my home office with a hot cup of coffee and really feel bad that this is your lot, wet and cold. It looks like an amazing machine and I can see where the best application will be for your bundles where you want smaller pieces and will be able to control the size of the pieces as they are split. I saw the video with the splitter in action and noticed that there seems to be less waste than with the Timberwolf. Can't wait to see more
