Man in Tears After Mobile Home Ambulance Is Stolen

- Alexander Parker, from Washington state, lives in an ambulance that he converted into a motorhome. While away for work, the home was stolen. The thieves also used his credit cards to go on a shopping spree. The only things he has to his name are the items he had on his work trip, and some stuff in storage. “How do I solve this and unravel this whole mess that happened just from someone stealing my vehicle, and my home and my life,” Alexander said. Vancouver, WA Resident here... The crime in the PNW has SKYROCKETED in the past few years. My heart goes out to this man living all of our worst nightmares when it comes to our vehicles. Worse yet it was his home too. :/

They found a lead 10/14 and the suspect used it as a getaway car its looking like he'll find it cause it was linked w/ another vehicle that was stolen the infos in the gofund me , he ended up raising over the 5,000 originally asked.

The Hotel surveillance cameras should be able to show activity that goes on outside of the Hotel. This is so sad. Whoever steals the ambulance home can never be happy. You cannot be happy stealing someone else belongings. Karma will catch up with you one day . The credit card company will find out exactly who was using those credit cards. I pray that you get back you're home.
Losing your vehicle is one thing, but losing your home as well is hard to imagine.

Many hotels don't have cameras covering the parking lot- probably most don't- this is based on working in the hotel business.

If it’s such a brilliant idea take all your stuff and put it into your car and go park it in a hotel parking lot for a week then come back and see what you have left.

This wasn't just his vehicle, it was also his house. Leaving his stuff in his mobile home where it should be safe isn't his fault, besides I doubt he had his credit card pressed to the windshield.

This is heartbreaking.... and the fact the police shrug it off is even more sad. He literally lost his HOME. His HOME! And the police just shrug it off as a vehicle theft. I know it doesn't sound like much on paper but if it was you, you'd be devastated.
Those thieves should head to jail no matter what. They stole someone's property, abused his cards, and broke into a vehicle. On paper, doesn't seem like much but trust me, it means a lot when given what happened to this male human who lost almost everything

Who parks at a hotel parking lot? Easiest vehicles to steal I would assume because you're in the hotel and not in your van or car or whatever. Then you go out of town?

Yea, my gut was saying that an ambulance parked in same spot at hotel night after night would definitely draw some attention. On one hand, who would steal an ambulance, on the other hand, if it's just sitting there, for a while, yea, it's gonna attract criminals. Not the victim fault, it's just unfortunate that anyone who is living in a vehicle, needs to be very careful about the security of that vehicle.
That was my first thought. Some kind of storage facility would have been safer.

I wouldn't doubt it was a employee at the hotel. They were probably observing him for awhile and saw him going in and out with his belongings.

This is awful. I don’t completely understand the thought process of leaving it in a hotel parking lot instead of at a trusted home. I hope that he finds it and that they prosecute whoever took it! Also, if your leaving, pls make sure to take all of your credit cards!
I guess he doesn't have family and friends in the area/they're not willing. So his next best option was a place with security cameras.

As of right now, in the eyes of the government, he is considered homeless because his car cannot be classified as a physical home. Word of advice, everyone, put a tracker on your car. I have a Honda CR-V and I have an apple tag in it. If it’s every stolen, the thieves will never find where I put it and I’ll always find it. A $100 tracker could have solved all this

Why on earth would you leave your place with important things in it for extended time?. Would have removed the battery and made sure important papers and cards were with me or at a safety deposit box in a bank - I’ve been robbed so many times and wouldn’t trust it anywhere any time. Would have insured everything I could as well
