  • A school bus driver in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area was making his way along his regular route when he was flagged down by a frantic couple. They’d just been carjacked, and their 2-year-old boy was still in the missing vehicle. The bus driver, Dave Skinner, called 911, and then went a critical step further. He got on the radio dispatch system and alerted other bus drivers in the area to be on the lookout for the car.

the way the lady bus driver approached and held the little kid was beautiful, didn't scare him off and communicated throughout. Seeing that the kid just had an awful experience with a stranger in the car, it was super important that the bus driver handle the retrieval with care. Also being vigilant enough to spot them and rushing back, incredible. Well done to everyone

Man, the bus drivers for our middleschool/highschool were just like this. I remember being on the bus in high school when it came over the radio that a middle school boy got on the bus looking for his little brother but couldn't find him. All the radios were going off looking for this little boy. Poor kid went the wrong direction, thought all the buses had left, and was tearfully trying to walk home by himself. He never made it outside school grounds, but that sure was scary. And this was before they started implementing role call sheets on the buses.

WOW, tears running down my face, watching the little boy standing in that driveway all alone... then the bus driver reaching out to him. 😢
After being handed back to the mother,
an emotional moment, considering how it could have gone, without the "good Samaritans" being in the right place at the right time! 🤗
I'm hoping the same reunion for 2 year old Quinton who is missing, that made national news yesterday? 🙏

Imagine that child wasn’t the child that was in the car and now she just stole someone else’s child that just happened to be left outside of their house. lol

This brought tears to my eyes, when Mumma is reunited with her baba. She and the lovely bus driver both just sob together and take this situation in.
    Emotional. 😭💖

People fall on dark times, atleast the robbers still had some sanity left to leave the kid alone, im not praising them, but it shows that they aren’t monsters, just crooks.
