Lubricating the clutch yoke pin is very important. This video shows you how to move the mech to the end of the carriage. That way you can access the clutch yoke assembly.
This has got to be the worst video on lubricating. About 75% of the time your telling us where to lubricate and the camera is off the point and sometimes blurry.
That old grease is a familiar issue, I actually purchased a pair of SE100's and ended up taking the entire mech. apart and soaking all the metal parts in hot water and dish detergent then proceeded to polish off the glue like grease and dirt over a span of a couple of months. It was like working on an old car where your hands were black with grease after an hour. But the end result is amazing, the parts are so smooth and clean all they need is a bit of 3 in 1 motor oil and some fluid film and everything moves freely. Of course I would have never attempted this if I didn't have a second mech. to use as a blue print to put the other one back together. Anyways not a bad video.
can u help my sseburg sps2 matador..only plays the b sides ,,i lubed alot of stuff,so im thinkin i got oil on some contacts,,is that possibly why it wont play the a sides,,plays b sides fine,,but if u punch in the a side it just goes bk and forth then stops and doesnt do nothin
What do you do to remove the old lubrication? I've just picked up an old LS1 that's having problems fully lifting the records from the magazine and I'm suspecting it's a lubrication issue.
