    The waffle stitch in the round is much easier than it looks and I hope the tips that I share to memorize the repeat helps your fly through your blanket. You might be wondering if you can make this stitch without turning your work and yes you can, but that means you'll be utilizing a bpdc (back post double crochet) on alternate rounds. If this is something you want to learn as well, let me know in the comments. 🧶

    What a fantastic idea waffle stich in a rectangle. Kudos! Please try ending with HDC, this way you're in the space for the next round and no slip stiching is necessary, Tried? Worked? Give it a like here. Cheers!

    Hi ! I love this as I love the Moss stitch. Yes, I struggled with making a blanket in rounds. One problem, I want to know what stitch comes before and after a slip stitch to join rounds.
    Thank you

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The stitch before and after a slip stitch will always depend on the pattern you’re working on. The slip stitch is just helping you complete the round and doesn’t count as a stitch.
      Typically you’ll start with a chain after a slip-stitch to start the next round and the amount of chains will depend on the stitch you’re making next.
      1 ch for sc, 2 for hdc, 2 or 3 for a dc.
      Usually the chains will serve as that first stitch but again it depends on the pattern.
      Hope that helps

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t seen this before where the back looks like the front . Is this the name of the stitch? The double waffle stitch search takes me to patterns where it’s two fpdc’s instead of one but doesn’t say the back matches the front. Thanks !

    • @PlayHookywithMe

      Behind it completely, so the hook is right behind it and coming back through on the other side of the stitch. It will make more sense when you try it yourself … you’ll be able to see it clearly. 💕

      A great alternative is just to crochet over the tail when you do the chain 4 and slip stitch to form the ring. Then just tighten that tail and it will tighten the center for you . I do this often.
