    That was a clever way of doing waffle stitch and you are such a good teacher! Thanks.

    I love working blankets from the inside out so I can just crochet until I run out of yarn. This rectangle is so unique and I'm excited to start it!

    I’m so glad you show us all the ways to start the different shapes. I’m a beginner and can follow directions. But I’m just not at the point yet to where I can figure out how whip up something in triangle, square, or rectangle on my own. I’m so glad you are patient in showing us all these different ways. You are such a blessing. ❤️

    Thank you for your fabulous tutorial! I learnt to crochet squares from my Granny. It is all I knew about crochet - now at 63 I am doing squares again in lovely patterns - all because of your excellent, absolutely wonderful teaching style. Patient, informative with clear concise instructions. I have followed along with this great project and after a few re-starts, I have got it! Thank you so much. 😊

    Thanks for the excellent video!
    As a general rule, your starting ch is the difference in the side measurements. So a 3 inch middle would produce a 45x48 piece. A 5 inch middle would mae a 45x50 inch piece. A 9 inch middle would produce a 45x54 piece. Not an exact science, but pretty close - I've used this rule to make rugs for my bathroom.

      I've searched but could see no waffle stitch used in rugs. On the other hand, this is a wonderful stitch when I think it on a rug. Are you happy with your bathroom rugs? Aren't they stretchy or do you think they don't easily become deformed?

    • @dsmart1
      @dsmart1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@olguntoman5923 For my rugs I use three or four strands held together and they don't stretch out. All depends on stitch. I would never use the waffle as a rug, as I be afraid toes could get caught in the post stitches and cause a fall

    I just love you! I have been attempting a waffle stitch blanket for my Mom for a couple of weeks. Finally thought I had a good gauge Swatch but when I actually started the blanket, I was out yarn before I even got 5" in. So glad I found this video. I think it will be easier for me to see the yarn usage though I think I'm still going to have to buy more yarn for this blanket. I have a real problem with this particular piece. I follow your instructions precisely and I get to the corner. I say to myself, I will just do this corner ( to see what it looks like) and then I am on the short side. I might as well do this side, and then I am in the corner again....cannot stop on the corner, so I continue. I have gone this far, so might as well finish the round. There is no clear instruction of where to stop. Where do I go eat, do housework, tend to the garden and have a life? All joking aside, your instructions are wonderful. You are very precise, explain in detail, showing what you are doing and telling why. So many people forget one or more of these steps. Thank you for your youtube tutorials. You are a fabulous teacher!

      All you have to do to do it the way you are asking about is instead of turning and doing the 2 front post doubles in a row is do 2 back post doubles since a front post stitch done on the wrong side of the work is the same as doing a back post stitch on the right side of your work.
