i have Two FZR 1000 engines. I am trying to get them running because I want to build one into a Jet ski and the other one into a cross Kart that I want to build. I have asked many people around me for information on the wiring because it is a mess. Nobody and I mean nobody is willing to share any information or willing to help. I am trying to get an auto manual. I would like to learn so that I whenever a problem arises that I can solve it myself. I just found that one of the spark suppressors is damaged and boy did I get a shock for the replacement parts price. Now I wonder if it is even worth continuing with these projects.

@edwinbredenhann5791 it's true that the original parts are extremely expensive!
However, you can always get cheaper (and at the same time reliable) after market parts. Like the ignition coils that you have a problem with.
As for if it's worth it, I'm not sure if it does for the purpose you want these engines for. It was worth it for me since I'm kind of obsessed with originality 😁
To protect the ignition coils from failing again and again, check what I have done in one of my other videos. It's under the FZR1000 updates playlist. I'm in the USA on a tour at the moment, but when I'm back in Australia, I'm willing to send you any information I have.
Let me know how you go.

Just bought an 87 FZR1000 Genesis, its showing its age but still runs strong.

Hey! Brilliant informative video. What chemical do you use on the bike before power washing? I heard you said kerosene for sprockets but what is your preference for rest of the bike? All the best, love the videos!

Thanks for your comment! When it comes to wash the motorcycle in order to make it look good, I use any kind of car wash products. If I don't have any handy, dish soap in hot water will do!
When it comes to clean engine parts that have lots of oil and grease, the best ever cleaning solution I use is:
Hot water, with laundry detergent, a bit of liquid dish soap AND 1 or 2 tablets for dish washing machine, witch I dissolve in the solution. It can destroy every kind of dirt, oil and grease you can imagine!

Nice!!! Keep the '94 though. Legendary bike! You won't regret it. If I ever be able to lay my hands on another older model, I'll buy that too!
