I ordered a 1969 from a store that will be a new affiliate here in WA! They had ordered them about 8 months ago I think and they are expecting them to arrive in the next few weeks! Can’t wait!
Wow Dski those dino ribs were spot on. Great smoke ring and bark. Thanks for sharing!!! I gotta decide what I'm cooking for the Superbowl......go Niners
It’s still up in the air for me also Tyanna. Maybe wings and nachos this year. Not anticipating a large crown this time around. I’m pulling for your team. Last week had my brother, another niners fan, on the edge of his seat. Great comeback!
I haven’t seen the large beef plate ribs a Costco in awhile and don’t have a Sam’s membership. I generally go right to Wild Forks since i know they always carry them. The Superbowl spread will hopefully be EPIC! Planning now!
Hey Cliff, The smoker does have a bow tie intake but I’ve found that by keeping the door open at 1/4” to 1/2” is the sweet point towards controlling temps. Great question!
Yes. I keep it there to offset and shield from the direct fire. 🔥 This is particularly good when cooking at higher temps like for chicken. For low and slow temps at 225 to 250, it’s not necessary. Hope this helps.
I’m debating workhorse 75 and lone star Grillz Texas edition. Any regrets? Even cooking from grate to grate? Purchasing Bbq outfitters vs direct seems price the same
Can’t go wrong either way. Both are awesome smokers. My raw finished workhorse 1975 is truly my BBQ show piece!! Both are top notch quality. Let me know what you decide.
The Ole Hickory CTO for sure for ease of use. You can have that thing running while service is going on and not miss a beat. The offset is awesome but will require constant care during long cooks. Hope this helps.
I do own a blow torch, the grill gun and use it quite frequently. The catering business is going well but I’ve only gone as far as Oklahoma from an out of state perspective. My day job keeps me local but thankfully between church events, birthdays parties, and weddings,💒 I stay pretty busy. I’m focusing this year on online sales throughout the US. Wish me luck. 🍀 Thanks for checking out the video.
my workhorse is finally in the final production stage can't wait to cook on that beast
You will love it. I have the 1975-t. It was delivered in Dec its so nice and smokes amazing bbq. Took me 364 days. But worth the wait
Awesome cook my Man. Can’t beat beef Dino ribs for the best bite in BBQ. Great job!
I agree. Thanks for checking out the video!
Those ribs looked like they were bangin’….another great video!!!
Thank you. Still munching on them today! The best I’ve made thus far.
I KNEW it was only a matter of time before Dski got an offset! Another great video.
Yep. I had to join the club. Lol

Congrats 🎉
Great pit! I will have one someday. Nothing better than brisket on a bone! Great idea using the tallow with those ribs.

@@DskiGrillz yeah they had me worried also, that Lions defense is second to none but we held on and rallied for the win.💪🏾🎉
Great cook Dski. It's been a while since I have visited the channel. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Plan to order my 1975 in two weeks.
That's awesome news! Congrats
Love the content brother
Thank you!
I've ordered from them, their prime briskets are amazing.
Looks awesome!!! 🤩
Thank you!
I gotta get me one of these workhorse pits
It’s a magnificent offset smoker and still priced fair versus most of the competitors. You can’t go wrong.
@@DskiGrillz after my windows are replaced I'm ordering. Just want to make sure there aren't yoi many extra charges with the windows
Job well Done, your wrapping skills are unparalleled. Can you pick those up at Sam's or Costco. Looking forward to the Superbowl Spread.

Nailed It!!! New sub now 😊👍👍
Welcome to the channel!!
@@DskiGrillz Happy to have Found!!
👍👍
What kind of Fire Management Basket do you have for your splits? I get my 1975 in about a week can’t wait to get cookin 🎉Awesome video sir!
Lonestar Grillz fire management basket. Works great in the 1975. I’m really excited for you, congrats 🎊
D does your firebox door have vents and if so do you use them in regulating your heat?
Great cook on the ribs!!

Could you explain why was a piece of wood log inside the pit
Yes. I keep it there to offset and shield from the direct fire. 🔥 This is particularly good when cooking at higher temps like for chicken. For low and slow temps at 225 to 250, it’s not necessary. Hope this helps.

I was thinking of getting a smoker for large church gatherings. I wasn’t sure about an offset or an ole hickory cto. What is your recommendation?
The Ole Hickory CTO for sure for ease of use. You can have that thing running while service is going on and not miss a beat. The offset is awesome but will require constant care during long cooks. Hope this helps.
I’m just put in my order for a 1975. How big would you say an ideal split would be for it? I’m going to have to go get some wood soon.
12” in length by 4” in width works perfect for me.
@@DskiGrillzThanks for the info. Very nice videos by the way. I enjoy your content.
You should buy a blow torch like all the huge you tube barbecue creator’s. . How’s your catering business doing? Do you do out of state catering?
