I'd like to believe that but too many vegans just eat or buy everything that has vegan on it and don't really stop to think that a lot of the replacement products they use are very harmful to the environment and in some cases harmful to their bodies as well. Using shoes made from artificial material is much worse than using leather shoes made from hide that if left over from butchered animals. And stuffing yourself with replacement food full of unhealthy fats like palm oil instead of animal fats is not only bad for the environment but also for your body. And those supplements many vegans take, how do they think those are being made? Or vegan toiletries that are often stuffed with chemicals when an animal product left over from butchering would be much better for the environment and your body? I think many vegans don't really think this through all the way and like the chance to virtue signal and look down other non-vegans more than they really care about the environment.
Mary's Test Kitchen // Vegan Cooking Just subscribed to your channel even though I'm not a vegan that doesn't matter to me good food is good food! Nice channel
So I looked at what vegan food was available near me and was shocked at how little there was. I live in the U.K and am not very mobile ( in a wheelchair ) so am limited to what I can get delivered. However I am engaged to and living with a chef 👨🍳! So I am now looking at recipes online. Are there any vegan recipe websites you could recommend? Thankyou in advance for your time, you are a great inspiration to me 💡x
Hey Tay, I study language and text at a German university and I want to become a lector. I think that's why I'd be so interested in a video where you talk about "language barrier" in your travels or also about cultural differences with your boyfriend. And how does he think about speaking english? Is it different to his mother tongue? I speak German, English, Spanish and French (but not all perfectly lol) and I think that there are so many cool differences and words. So anyone also interested please upvote so Tay can see this ^_^ love you!
Honestly I prefer you keeping it real and not obeying comments or 'criticism' because you have the guts to stand up for yourself. It feels more realistic and humble to see your bare face and it reminds your viewers that not everyone is perfect. In a way, it feels more intimate because you're not sugarcoating your life and trying to fool people into having the perfect life. Do what feels right babe! New sub but I've been watching occasionally since my friend recommended you to me. And please wear those ripped jeans with some fishnet stockings, you'd rock them! xo
i have been vegan for 4 years now, and I'm so happy that veganism has grown so fast in the last few years! Being vegan is definitely the best choice I've made
I can relate to Charlottes story about feeling strained with family when first going vegetarian/vegan. After a while, my dad was so proud to be making things that we all could love!
I love this episode Taylor! Been in HK five years and didn't know about blue house! Can't wait to visit and try them out myself! And I love how you connect with the locals :) xx
i wish people who werent able to commit to being a complete vegan would be able to live like taylor. i know you're not a complete vegan but ive noticed for years you still choose plant based meals as much as you can! the earth would even be happier and healthier if everyone lived this way
Ahh that açaí bowl looked so good! I don’t think I’ll ever go completely vegan or vegetarian but I did make it my goal this year to try to make lot of my meals vegan or vegetarian. It’s fun bc like she said you discover new food to try and it’s always exciting 🌿
I think it would be interesting to add some of the meatless food from local shrines - for example you can get great sweet and sour tofu skin at the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau but it may be bit too far to go for the video purpose :-) anyway - great video as always!
She's adorable! I really love her hair style on her, it suits her so much! You're video quality and editing is getting better and better, Taylor, you're doing awesome!
I love where your channel is going & growing! You seem happier and confident in your new content...it's workin' for me too! Keep being real Taylor , it suits you well.
I really love this new series ❤ The video style and editing is amazing, definitely reminds me a bit of Anthony Bourdain's videos. I love that you learn about the locals and actually sit down and talk with everyone.
Thank you so much for this video ♡ Veganism is often times portrayed in a really bad way and many people have misconceptions about it. I'm glad you're so open to different lifestyles!
💖 Yay have been waiting for this episode!! 😍 I'm Vegan and have been for about a year for health reasons (managing my rheumatoid arthritis) and I've been worried about what I should do when I tavel.. Honestly I'm leaning towards eating anything because I can deal with the pain when eating a non anti inflammatory diet (regular diet) but it's so nice to see the options available! Because no doubt I'll need some vegan days during my holiday so I don't feel like complete crud haha 😅
I would recommend looking on the website or app Happy Cow! It's actually really surprising just how many places are fully vegan, or have good vegan options :) I've been vegan for about 4 years now and have not struggled while abroad and if you're worried about language barriers for certain countries then definitely make sure you have the google translate app :)
I would also recommend trying the happy cow app or just googling vegan restaurant for the area you are traveling to! I travel quite a lot and I rarely get into trouble finding nice food, especially in larger cities :) (also even if there isn't a vegan option I found that you can usually explain that you can't eat certain foods and they will customize the vegetarian dishes )
this is one of my favorite series eeevvvveeeerrr!!! please keep doing more and i love all of your other videos as well! you’re amazing! Thank you for your hard work on all your videos!
This is so relatable. Not the Veganism, but my boyfriend has Celiac disease. My grandparents are from Cambodia so they don't understand the need to change the recipes they are so used to. My grandma has actually been really great about it (even though she said why couldn't you have found a non sick one) but she is really trying which is too sweet. I love this series. When will it be on Netflix? Lol
Not sure how many times I replayed that peanut root part, but I can tell you I was in tears by the end of it😂 Love these Foodie Friday videos, Taylor! Especially while I’m eating lunch!
10:18 it is actually my favorite part of this vedio ❤ thank you Taylor for making this series it is refreshing love you so much Greetings from Egypt ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes I’m so happy and now I know where to go if I visit. I’ve been a vegetarian since 2009 and a vegan since 2016! My family also took it personally when I went vegetarian, especially because I was only 14. They thought it was a phase but they adjusted when they saw my determination.
This was my favourite episode!! You had great chemistry with Charlotte and she is so sweet!! You looked really confortable! I'm not vegan and a picky eater, but this makes me wanna try more stuff!
I'm so grateful to have people like you on youtube and social media because you always brighten up my day and I love every single video of you! Hope you have a great weekend
What an interesting video. As a nurse, I very much appreciate a vegan diet. I'm 50% vegan myself! It is so healthy and can really help with the pain from arthritis and inflammation. Bless you, Ms.Taylor! 🙏🏻❤️🙂
This is amazing Taylor! So glad you made a vegan chapter. Butttt as a vegan of 5 years this was too health-ish oriented haha. No vegan junk food in HK?
ooh you're so lucky. Us in Hong Kong it is soooo hot and humid and I melt without the AC (even though it is not the best for the environment it is just not doable without). The last couple of weeks it was 35° x).
Being vegan I love watching this and knowing travelling the world is getting so much easier for me with so many more places popping up and veganism growing!
I am a local in Hong Kong. Everyday is too busy and I started to think the city becomes so boring. Thank you Taylor to make videos that show many different sides of HK. I definitely will go to some interesting places/restaurant that you recommend in your videos someday when I have free time ^^
Loved this video. I lived in HK for 3 years and this made me really miss it (not back in UK). Mana and the veggie dim sum place in Sha Tin and causeway bay were my favourites. My partner is also from HK (his mums side) so it’s really interesting for us watching your videos.. I’ve managed to get him to watch your foodie fridays vlogs and it has inspired him to start cooking the food we miss from HK x x
loved this video.. you were so nice and open to all the foods and gave the space to the people you met ! unline many other youtubers who only want to make videos of themselves. keep up the good work
Peanut sprout is also known as the longevity sprout in Chinese. It is packed with vitamins, minerals and proteins. It can also lower your cancer, heart disease and diabetes risks.
The way she was so concerned and wanted to make sure you weren't allergic to "penis" was so cute. I have nut allergy and it really made my heart smile. Keep her around 💚
YES!! I was discussing exactly this with a friend yesterday!! A recent huge study found the best thing people can do to help the environment is to consume less/completely give up meat and dairy. Giving up beef is better than if you gave up driving for the environment. While I am not vegan myself, taking all this into consideration I have given up red meat and never cook meat and rarely consume dairy products. If everyone did little things like this like simply REDUCING consumption it would make such a huge difference to the planet!! I hope to one day completely give up meat and maybe become vegan:)
this is awesome! Thank you for covering vegan food in many places around the world. I now know I can easily travel to Hong Kong and have so many options
You are really good at understanding and interpreting what your guests are trying to say. This series is very professional and interesting. You should be on a food related network!
Last time I went to HK (2013-2014) there wasn't a lot of vegetarian places let alone vegan places. Happy and excited to see more veggie/vegan friendly popping up, def need to go to HK asap, I miss it.
I am not vegan, but I eat a lot of vegan food because of my digestive problems. My stomach is almost always happier after a vegan meal. I really enjoyed this video! There were some very interesting and fun ideas!
this episode has the best looking food so far!! so colourful & healthy! 😭❤️ there isn't much healthier restaurants or food shops here, so it's a bit difficult to find these kinds of food 😅
I'm not vegan but I love seeing recommendations for vegan places cause it's great to see creative ways to make veggie and grains dishes that are tasty. Those Acai bowls looked soo goood, and I love sweet potato. Mmm...
Charlotte(?) couldn't be cuter! I'm thinking of turning to a vegan lifestyle and I like how she explained its not just about eating, the food. Great video
I love that you're covering all types of food and lifestyles! :)
yeah.. it's pretty rare that the food blogger would spend the entire VLOG episode just to cover the vegan food. So big Kudo to Taylor!!!
Omg Charlotte is so pretty 😍😭
I knowwww.. and her skin 😍😍😍✨
Taylor R that alone just convinced me to try become a vegetarian if not a vegan
Hong Kong's Shannyn Sossamon
Her seafoam bralette looks amazing against her skin tone, and it's a nice layering with the white tank 😍
Charlotte is so cute. I like how in this video it's explained that Veganism isn't just about the Food and Animals but the World, Health and so on.
Yes! When people ask why I am vegetarian, I tell them for ethical, health, and also environmental reasons. Will try going vegan in the future!
I'd like to believe that but too many vegans just eat or buy everything that has vegan on it and don't really stop to think that a lot of the replacement products they use are very harmful to the environment and in some cases harmful to their bodies as well. now, this was the one I was waiting for!!! :-)

me too! Im not entirely vegan too, but most of my diet I would try to exclude out meats and stuffs :) at least we are making steps, right?
Hello! I love how I watch these videos for the food but I learn so much more about the people and culture! Thank you for this great video^^
I think it would be interesting to add some of the meatless food from local shrines - for example you can get great sweet and sour tofu skin at the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau but it may be bit too far to go for the video purpose :-) anyway - great video as always!
i seem to say this on every video but I love your foodies series sm! like waiting every Fridays for this~~~

T Cake how is your RA? I've been dealing with the same issue... turmeric has been helping alot and I've changed up my diet too
You are amazing 💚 love and support all the way from KSA 🇸🇦💚💚💚
I would recommend looking on the website or app Happy Cow! Yes yes yes!!! All about saving the planet!!! People don't always see veganism in that light and you and Charlotte conveyed that perfectly
I’ve been waiting for a vegan episode for so long!! Thank you taytay ♥️

Real eye opening to see Hong Kong people are willing to accept vegan foods, outside of the buddhist vegan dishes. Great video!
I am a local in Hong Kong. Everyday is too busy and I started to think the city becomes so boring. Thank you Taylor to make videos that show many different sides of HK. I definitely will go to some interesting places/restaurant that you recommend in your videos someday when I have free time ^^

This was really amazing and enlightening to watch. Subscribed and sending love from South Africa.
I love how you guys touched on how the Asian food culture is different from the western food culture :) it was both an informative and fun video
I'm glad I'm learning from Taylor and the people she's meeting with, it's just so interesting 😀
The way she was so concerned and wanted to make sure you weren't allergic to "penis" was so cute. I have nut allergy and it really made my heart smile. Keep her around 💚
Yay, veggies! That Blue House restaurant is so cool looking.
This story it's a good one! I love the series! 🤗 You are so good at this!
Oh no. Taylor is one of "Those people". She mixes the sauces!😅 Nice to see Taylor feeding her assistant lol. Very nice video!

The town I live in, we don't have any restaurants specifically vegan but there are a lot of options and many grocery stores carry vegan products.

I'm not vegan but I love seeing recommendations for vegan places cause it's great to see creative ways to make veggie and grains dishes that are tasty. Those Acai bowls looked soo goood, and I love sweet potato. Mmm...
I’m going to do a Business internship in Hong Kong so I really enjoy you sharing all these amazing places to eat while I’m there
Charlotte(?) couldn't be cuter! I'm thinking of turning to a vegan lifestyle and I like how she explained its not just about eating, the food. Great video
