I absolutely love how on most of his voice lines with the new VA, Diavolo sounds calm, but when he gets angry, his yell is like he’s a completely different person.
That’s why I’m so addicted to his voice lol

New voice is incredible, the VA really made his performance unique
It sounds so bland compared to the old voice sometimes...
Holy fuck the new voice is actually perfect for Diavolo, extremely calm in some parts, but when he gets mad he gets *mad*
Cuz its Diavolo voice from anime, and Diavolo in ASB now Kira voice in anime and ASBR
New things I noticed:
The end animation of Epitaph is different and now the cam not focus Diavolo.
Erasing time has different propieties like in the video that you can teleport far of your opponent.
I wanna see the EVO gameplay soon to see how much change all other char ^^
Edit: I also noticed that stands still dissapear in the ground like the bug in the demo. I expect that will be fixed at least at the game launch 😟

I like both voices. I think I do prefer his more constant anger in the old voice, but they're both still great.
Also I hope that there's a skin that let's you use the gold King Crimson. The white one is also cool don't get me wrong, I just really like the gold on red design.
I'm so glad the devs went through the effort of changing and recoloring the Stands, because I don't think I'd be able to get over the gross color scheme King Crimson has in the original ASB. The white and red looks so much better than the weird pink and greenish-yellow

Honestly I prefer the older Diavolo's VA, just kinda fits his character as in older and intimidating mob boss, and I feel he really nailed the GHA with passion in it more than the new pen, still I belive the mew VA did great but I am a fan of the older more deeper Diavolo voice personally

Fun fact: Old Diavolo is today's Yoshikage Kira, it was unforgivable that Cloud's voice actor didn't have Sephiroth's as his direct adversary.
I don't know... he sounds way too calm on some attakcs but WAY TOO over the top on others, not bad but I think the old voice really nailed it.
I think the inconsistency really fits Diavolo

You know, I really wish they change just the color palette. Is there a reason to change the models to match the anime as well (outside of marketability)?
With example I've seen so far, such as Fugo's hair, Diavolo, Gold Experience, as well as King Crimson. Again, is there a reason to change the models as well, instead of keeping the original designs, just swapping the palettes to match the anime?
I agree with you that the model changes seem rather unnecessary, but you know what's weird?
They changed Jonathan's model but only to make his belt match the anime, they didn't give him his anime-only shoulder pads 🤔

Yeah it’s inconsistent asf, Giorno lost his pockets and for some reason also lost his uncurled hair donuts when he awakens Requiem, even though that’s in the anime. They didn’t change DIO‘s fingernails or removed his collar but then they went and made Fugo‘s hair weird. Feels like the developers are cherry-picking what they like, and I disagree with most changes lol.
That being said, new Gold Experience does look leagues better, it actually looks organic now.

@@kianhendriks9073 You could do more than grab before, it was a free strike throw mixup. Now he loses the mix and he gets moved far away. By the time he gets to the opponent they’ll have recovered from their move most of the time and he won’t get anything off of it.
I see why they nerfed it, because the game already has a lot of universal combo breakers with assists. But hopefully only the combo breaker is nerfed, not the regular counter.

@@kianhendriks9073 The way it worked before you had complete freedom to do whatever you wanted. This gave you a free mixup because it forced the opponent to guess what you’re gonna do next.
Is he gonna do a special? A low? A neutral jump attack? An empty jump low? Or a grab? The grab is the option I saw people pick the most, but what if he doesn’t grab? Then you get punished for trying to tech the grab and get full comboed for like 40-50% damage.
It’s mind games, if you guess wrong you get punished. It puts him in control of the match. It’s one of the reasons he was so top tier, because he could put you in that situation from you landing hits on him.
Now he’s lost that completely, at least when used as a combo breaker.
On ps3 and EOH he had Kaname Tousen's voice on ASB R he has Hisagi Shuuhei's voice

Not only has the voice actor changed but also their look. In original ASB they had manga look in ASB R most of characters have their looks adapted in anime (All animated parts so far).
Wish they would use some of their tracks.

Something I don't like much is that they simplified some designs just so they look closer to the anime designs, I understand for the anime to put out some unnecessary details, but for a game that uses 3D models it just feels like a weird move to do
I dunno, people say that the new dub is better, but as for me the old one is superior. I mean, in the context of battle Diavolo's identity is revealed, he stands right in front of his foe, so he should always sound like a super-angry barking dog. New dub fits the shadow costume (A or B, can't really remember) perfectly, because he's calm and still has control of the situation. But man, can't you hear how he praises himself much higher among mortals in the original? Man, classic.
