      My original 3.4 swap the wiring took me over a month to get figured out. Learning how to read diagrams and what everything means takes a bit to learn. Now it takes me minutes to figure out how to get a engine running. Definitely comes with experience!

    • @DirtGarage
      @DirtGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@michaelmaroney1660 You need the auto from the 3.4 if you want to keep it automatic. The 5VZ ecm can't communicate with the 3.0 auto.

    • @DirtGarage
      @DirtGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaelmaroney1660 It won't, you need to customize your trans crossmember. Not only this the t case drops on wrong side, you need an adapter to run the gear drive t case to drop on the correct side. It's easiest just to do a manual swap at the same time instead of keeping it auto.

    Hi dirt garage love your channel ok so my boyfriend did the 3.4 swap I have a 95 4 runner. So my boyfriend did the entire thing himself. We had it running and driving for about 3 months. Then one night we were going about 25 mph and we had to hit the brakes kinda hard. So my truck died and when we went to start it back up it just cranks now and it will not fire. It has been so frustrating. Timing is TDC there is fuel pressure there is spark. Igniter is grounded . Please give me an idea please. It wants to start but it only back fires and sputters. . Please and thank you for all you do respectfully Toyota chick

    I noticed that the four wire you were using for power were of different gauges. Is there something that indicates the gauge or do you add up all of the load and the determine the circuit amperage and wire gauge? In a totally unrelated question, do you run an access cab for more room, longer wheel base or both?

    • @DirtGarage
      @DirtGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I matched stock size for wires, the 2 small is 1 signal to trigger the relays, and the other small wire is 12v constant to the ECM.
