A bit of a factoid about the 1UZ. It is the only automotive engine that is certified by the FAA to be dropped directly into an airplane with no modifications. It’s so smooth, reliable, and overall great, that it is comfortable with sustained high RPM’s in an aircraft. Stock.
@@moosestangls5099 No it won't bolt directly to it, but there are adapter plates that will adapt the 1UZ to the 3400 transmissions. Definitely beware of the power output difference. You wouldn't want to blow up the transmission you have.

Thinking about doing this swap to my 88 Toyota it's got the 3.0 v6. But my truck is lifted 30" & has 44s boggers under it. So it really needs more power to turn these tires over especially if i put a set of 54s or 58s under it.
Putting on supercharger in a 1UZ is also a nice route. There are different adaptor plates for different supercharger . A lil bit more aftermarket support than the 2uz nice choice
To bad Toyota didn’t put those in the pickup back in the day. The V6 was a dog. Mine was pull out and sent back to Japan. Was one of the 1st ones to have a hole in the piston. So they replace it. It’s been rebuilt 2 times in its 32 years. (That’s the replaced motor). One the it came with was sent back. Thank for the info about the motor you put in your 89. 👍🏼
