Used this as my school project, i am now one of the teachers favorite, he said i dont need to do other ptojects in his subject in exchange of doing another sculpture like this, also he paid for the materials needed.

Why is mines breaking I did make it a little bigger but it's legs broke off once it dried out

I am planning my first little squid sculpey and I wasn't sure how to do the suckers, lol I was thinking I'd have to make a bunch of tiny little donuts or something so I came here to see if I could get an idea for a good technique...thank you SO MUCH for the demonstration, I would have ended up making it so much harder than it had to be 🤣 great video and gorgeous work!

can I make this with air dry clay? also any tips to help me with the pieces sticking together when using air dry clay? ik you are using polymer clay but still air dry is all I have.
I don't use air dry clay and I don't know how it works. Use google.
whenever I have problems with air drying clay not sticking together I use the structure paste that you can use on a canvas. It works awesome for me, just like glue and after it dries it's really hard and you can just paint over it😊 maybe there are even tutorials to make some by yourself. hope I could help you😊
+lara hazel do you think soem water with some of the air dry clay would work the same? cause I don't have what you just mentioned

OMG!! I absolutely LOVE this. I have a thing for Octopi's. Have no idea why or how I stumbled upon your video, but I am so happy I did. So amazing and life like. How did you do the texture on the head and what motion did you use. I saw the tooth brush but wasn't sure if you used that to make the fine texture on the head. Thanks so much.

at 3:22 you can see me drawing the texture on the head with a needle tool. It's a bit time consuming. I suppose you could fake the texture with some kind of rough fabric though, I just like to work on details :)
