You sir are a true Zebco professional, I know who I'm going to ask about any issues I run into with my reels. Upgrading/ super-tuning fishing reels is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time!! Keep them coming boss!
Hi Matthew, Ed here I replaced the antie reverse with the one-way clutch nice and the handle is on the port side of the reel so I have to change hands when I cast
That is a great question. I know that Zebco made a 33 Max they call a Saltfisher. I never had my hands on one to find out what the insides are like. It would be nice if they would make an all stainless and brass 33 Max Saltfisher.
OutFishing13 I never knew they made a larger version of the Zebco 33 until I saw one at Walmart. It has some cheap 20 pound test that any of the reviews on that reel says is trash. I have the all metal Zebco 33 and the small ultra light Zebco 33 Pro. I have one more fishing rod that I would like to get a new Zebco on and that large 33 looks good to memory carp fishing.
I did all what you did, but my issue is with the gear not locking up.when it wants to. I see that the gear spear are spinning spear you called it that's the first piece you take off the white small circles that come out to help real in the line, mine doesn't come out far as yours does on your video. Any ideas what to do. my real is the 33k same as these one,
So I understand, is your reel going both ways? If so the anti-reverse would be the issue. Is that what is going on when you say it is not locking up. The AR pawl may not be installed correctly. It can be a little tricky. I try and go over that in detail, since it can be confusing.
Thanks for the great videos Mathew. Do you have a side by side comparison of standard 33 with bite alert vs 33 Gold? Do you prefer to use a supertuned standard over a gold? I also noticed Tackleservice website is down, any suggestions for sourcing parts now? Thanks!
Thanks for watching and your questions. I could do a side by side comparison video. That is a great idea! Thank you. For some fishing, like bank fishing, where I put the rod in a rod holder, a standard 33 (or 808) is preferred for the bit alert. For other fishing I like the gold or platinum or an Omega. It is sad to say that TackleService.com is gone. Go to Zebco.com and call or email customer support to order parts.
@@OutFishing13Matthew That is outstanding! I never thought to use my bite alert reels when I'm placing rod holders. Thanks for the videos and keep up the great work, the fishing community is a better place for it.
What model do you have? Have you taken it apart to service it? Something must be jammed inside. Maybe you will need to mail it back to Zebco to get replaced. I will do a video on that model this week.

See the link in the description. I have some kits

Will the 33 MAX also be available in all metal salt water rated like the Zebco 808?

@@cdgarrett1 it is a great carp reel. I hooked into a large 16 pound steel head and it handled it well.

Check out the video at 20:10 to get details on the AR.

Hello sir ... i have a zebco 33 micro triggerspin ... trigger is not moving ... can you help me ... ?

Matthew Ed Here what is the gear speed on the reel
I think this 9ne is 2.3:1 nice and strong
Nothing like a 28 minute video without bookmarks to find information on assembly on a specific spincast reel
Hope it helped you. Thanks for watching.
😭
There is no way I can do that...wow
You might be surprised. I bet you could service a reel. Take your time and take pictures as you go.
Sure you can.
