    Gonna get these installed tomorrow but they're 12 inch hopefully they'll quiet down my flowmaster super 10s which sounds basically straight piped. Yours sounds good

    I have two carpet pads under my carpets in my truck. My original carpet was rough, I separated the pad and tossed it. Then took the carpet and pad from the donor truck and put it on top. I feel like it helps with interior noise and heat from the exhaust. When I redo my headliner, I want to stick some insulation on the roof of the cab too.

      Yea I been meaning to fix the whistle coming from my fiberglass hood too 🤣 need to sand and open the gap up between the little cowl panel between the front glass and hood I have the gap so tight it whistles

      @@FrogsGarage I was wondering what that was. I thought maybe it was the weatherstripping.

    Look into adding a pair of J-pipes or a pair of Helmholtz resonators to kill the noise inside the car.

    Did these eliminate the drone inside the cabin? How have they held up over time? Any reduction in their effectiveness? Thanks for the video!

      They have been good and I havent ever had real bad drone to begin with but it did make it more quiet for me around that 2400rpm range. My main issue is the fact its dumped under the cab so just echos between the ground and bottom of the truck. As far as how have they held up I cant say to much long term because if u saw my more recent videos I blew the truck up not long after installing them but I just got new engine and stuff in and just started back racing and driving the truck

    New 2022 Mach1 HP owner here. Im thinking about my Active Exhaust options to comply with racetracks that have noise restrictions. One of the options Im considering is replacing the stock resonator with two Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator bottles. Other option is keeping stock resonator and trying to fit regular Vibrant resonators behind it. Other option is an H-pipe combined with ultraquiet vibrants. Last option is magnaflow mufflered x-pipe for all-in-one is another Although I love the stock sound, I want to avoid getting kicked out of HPDE events when I use the Mach1 at W.O.T. Ive read that some M1 HP owners just pulled the AE fuse while the engine is running in AE quiet or normal mode, before pitting out on the track. Any suggestions?

      I hear the ultra quiets are real good at bringing sound levels down idk if brings down more than a factory one though. I’ve never heard of sound restrictions at a race track. That’s sounds counter intuitive to me. I know some have to be done racing by certain time like 10pm or something so people can sleep

      @@FrogsGarage I have an HPDE day coming up at LCMT (Mt Tremblant, Quebec, Canada) and they have become extremely anal about sound over 92 dB. After your second black flag for noise, they kick you out, and your name is put on a list. If you come back on another day during the season and get busted for noise again, you are banned for life at this track, regardless of what HPDE club and car you show up with. It's quite ridiculous how the Karen's living around the track have taken over ... I will see how things go in stock setup, and A.E. set up for normal or quiet mode for my 1st few laps ... Then either look into the resonators or AWE-tuning SwitchPath Remote device...

    I have a question: I plan getting an exhaust upgrade for my Chevy impala 2017. Is the vibrant performance 18”exhaust better than the cherrybomb extreme glass pack 18”?

    • @FrogsGarage
      @FrogsGarage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I cant say from experience considering I never used glasspacks before... I think I have a hatred for the cherry bomb glasspacks cause back growing up all the tards who would cut the cats off there trucks and run just glasspacks and sounded like loud elephant ass cheeks clapping going down the road and was annoying haha. So thats all I think of now when someone mentions cherry bomb glass packs

    It'll be even quieter in the cabin if you don't dump under the car, and let the tips exit out and away from the body. Drive over a draw bridge is a way to test that theory.

    • @FrogsGarage
      @FrogsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea I figured that’s why I want to redo the exhaust and also I think the side exit with the tips I have at the house will look good

      that draw bridge test is scary. I had Headers, mufflers, tips and it was loud you could hear the radio ( I was young and ran out of money on the build until next payday) went over a long grated bridge and I thought the engine cut off until I hit concrete again. once I got pipes going out the back it was bearable
