  • In 1946 Manase Latu and Nase Nukuifu came together in Nuku'alofa, Tonga for a legendary battle between Tongan fighters. In the shadow of the war, and of Tonga's boxing greats, especially Tevita Soakai, the golden age of Tongan boxing began.
In rare footage, Kava Bowl Media opens its series of Pacific Original's with a throwback to some true Pacific Originals: Tonga's pioneer boxers.

Tongans are powerful and formidable opponents. They are made for combat sports, very heavy handed and dangerous. Respect from Samoa🇼🇸🇹🇴

@@LaurArt_UK Captain Cook brought the horse. We uses them for farming and carry our loads. It became that there were too many horses and they were send to island called Eua!They were left there to multiply in the wild and they became too much for the little local population at the time.So the King decided to cult them. From here, the Tongan start eating the horses as they felt they were gonna just be wasted. Now we love it!Very high in iron, protein and hardly any fats
