    there is no right or wrong choice, there is only the one you chose then you must live your life to the best you can for yourself. For me choosing to live in China with my wife and leaving my American family behind is the choice I made and am living with, I will go back to the USA every year and visit with my kids and grandchildren and leaving will always be difficult but that is a decision I have made (also hate the cold Michigan winters :-) )

    I think you should stay in Korea right now with your family. How long will you stay there doesn't really matter, you can always go back to Thailand or USA at any time. Life is short, it's not always having chill and fun. Thanks for your honesty, and take care there man!!! Cheers from Poland

    I have to put my two cents in here.. I LOVE the countryside, any countryside. Since I have a longing to see Korea that is where I have been searching for videos that show the real countryside in South Korea. I don't know why anyone would want to live in a city... But that is just me personally... It takes all kinds, as they say. Love all the pretty streams and plants you show and little villages... THANK YOU!

    I think you need to give yourself more time to grieve for your grandpa, Cherish the people who are closest around you in Korea. Obviously you have time to spend time in Thailand with Mayu. Consider time you spend with people as bank deposits for your interpersonal relationships. I really started watching your channel for the content i was missing in Thailand as a Thai American, but I wish to give back in your time of need. Take care

      Wow thank you so much Mike. I see you've been subscribed to me for a whole year! I'll definitely go back to Thailand. It's just become hard to make money and keep a permanent visa without being tied down to a low paying job but aside from that my heart is in Thailand so is my gf and home. I am def cherishing this time w family. Thank you so much for the support and I hope I can go back and bring some more thailand content. I have very exciting things planned when I return

  • @vanwong6768

    For the last few years, you have travelled everywhere with Mayu. So we have become accustomed to seeing you two together: thinking you guys are inseparable. You shared the lows and the highs - travelling all over Asia, including travelling to Korea to visit your family. We all thought travelling was in your DNA. Naturally, we assumed you would have no problems travelling back and forward between Bkk and Seoul and vice versa. However, given the last few videos, I get a feeling that there is something deeper that you are Not prepare to share just yet.
    Whatever it is, I am sure one day in your own time, you will explain it to your viewers.
    In the meantime, I suggest you stay in touch with your partner every day. She looks like a keeper there.
    One final point - regardless of whether you are rich or poor, you will always have issues about money. That is a fact of life.
    Any way, whether due to distance (really not that far from Seoul to Bkk) or responsibilities to your older family members, you should always find time for the person you love - ie. your GF. Go visit her every fortnight during the weekends.

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Van. Will definitely go visit Mayu. I guess the reason I am holding back is I honestly don't know what'll happen and I don't want to say one thing will happen before I have something lined up. All the choices and the concerns have been disclosed in my video and community post particulary in my livestreams on the talkasia channel. I really hope to have some solid answers too but this corona virus is pretty real out here. Today a city in Korea just went on high alert and I don't plan on doing much until it settles down but I have been editing a lot of past videos and also sharing updated thoughts on the benefits of living in Korea that I am considering. It can't be done in one video but once you see the experiences me and mayu have had in Korea the past 2 years you may better understand why it's a tough choice to go back to the lifestyle I had without making some changes. Unfortunately what i've pursued so far hasn't worked out but I am much more positive now about things working out :)

    thank you for sharing this video ,this is what you tube should be all about ,places you would never see ,i am fed up of watching yet another video of nana plaza or walking street, i grew up on a farm and my father used to grow lots of food in the garden.i dont know why but he does not bother anymore,i remember the food used to taste so good ,so much better than the shops, as to where you want to live ,wow thats difficult to me thailand is paradise so why dont you split the time between thailand and korea ,america well youve been there i would leave it at that stay asia so much better,you are sounding a bit depressed ,you need some alcohol,if anyone thinks this is bad advice just google what homer simpson has to say on this matter 55555

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will for sure. Reason I am trying to find work here in Korea is so I can work less and play more in Thailand lol. Also healthcare and not dealing with immigration benefits. I don't mind going to the thai embassy here and getting a tourist visa it's a breeze no wait but dealing w the hassles of costs of maintaining a visa for the rest of my life didn't sound too appealing. I am only 100 buck plane ride away from thailand which is cheaper than what I paid for gas for weekend trips to vegas so I don't feel to far. It would take me 5 hrs to drive to vegas. It takes about the same to get to thailand lol

      Lol someone suggested voice over instead of subtitles as I never intended to make these as vlogs so not many scenes where I talked. Just bear w me for a few vlogs. Actually the next 10 won’t have that issue but I am wondering if I should do voiceover or subtitles for some more vlogs I am about to edit where it’s already shot and I can’t go back to it
