I love that tip of the hat to John Mahoney, and how Niles' son's character is named "David" after David Hyde Pierce. I miss my dad--we'd talk about this show so much. When this series started, I had just started teaching, I was newly married, and my parents had years to live. Now, they are gone, I've been married for over thirty years, I have a son, and I'm retired. I feel like Frasier is a member of my family.
Gotta be honest: I had a hard time with Frasier 2.0 at first. But I slowly started warming up to it mid-season. It's got that Frasier warm vibe and wit that I love about the original. Please make another one!

Was a massive Frasier fan and i loved him in Cheers. I became a Psychotherapist because of him, so on a personal level, he also changed my life. Wasnt sure about a reboot without Daphne and Niles, but being a Frasier aficionado i was happy to see what happened to him after his last line "Wish me Luck" in 2004. Its like connecting to an old friend and mentor again. Im glad Kelsey Grammer continued with this project, and Frasier got to act out his third chapter back in Boston. Are you serious? The David character is so irritating that as a viewer you are happy when he's not onscreen. A weird amalgam of an obnoxious child and a 2-dimensional cartoon character, it is hard to imagine on paper how this could have ever worked on screen. Niles is from a different universe.
You're joking! He's one of the worst things about this wholly disappointing show. His character is a feeble attempt to conjure up the character/personality of Niles Crane, but the character is no Niles and the actor is no David Hyde Pierce. In addition it isn't helped by the fact that his character, like many of the supporting characters, is woefully underdeveloped, due mainly to the sub-par writing on the show.
Althogh David has said He doesn't want to reprise His role as Niles, I think he could reconsider and do at least one or two episodes in the future with Jane Levees in it as well.
I'm actually glad DHP isn't coming back to do Niles. It's better to leave it in the past. The fans never know what's best. The fans asking for him to come back is weak sauce. Those just aren't the REAL fans.
Excellent. Now I don't have to waste my time or money on the entire episodes. These clips....these BEST MOMENTS give me everything I need. These were the best moments. Holy Mary mother of....JESUS!
these companies didn't need their own streaming service and should just start letting the theater industry buy those rights. they don't need to give netflix a monopoly but they can put it in the hands of distributors they already work with
LOVED this season. The writing was top notch, and the characters grew on me. It really was a surprising breath of fresh air that retained the originals sensibilities and sense of humor as well. That, and Kelsey is still on top of his game, so he elevates this script to his standard that pushes this series to heights no one expected. More people need to see it and to stick with it, NOT EXPECTING IT TO BE "Just like" the original. It's its own thing, and that is just fine for us.

Well, since I live in Thailand , I have not been able to see the new show. I think when I was back home, I had seen the original Frasier many times. This new show brings back so many wonderful memories of nonstop laughter. The comedic timing is still there, and Kelsy has not missed a beat. Roz was wonderful as well as how perfectly Lilith meshed with Frazier once again. If only Niles and Daphne would come back, this show would be even more fantastic. Now that Frazier is in Boston maybe a cameo from the guys from Cheers would happen. This very enjoyable watch these clips.

Old Frasier hasn’t changed enough and adult Freddie has changed too much. Lilith and Roz seem to have remained consistent. But the writing is strictly sit-com without the wit of the original. The real Frasier has left the building.
Niles and Daphne were supposed to have 2 little girls but they changed it after David Angell passed away in the 9/11 attacks. Did they mention David had sisters in the new show? I haven't kept up with it. Because if not, Niles and Daphne never had daughters.
Amazing how all our old friends from the original still have their charm. The new characters fit together well. Overall, the show looks like a worthy successor...
When I first started watching I liked it but it didn't seem to have that Frasier feeling for some reason. After I watched it a second time I realized it is it's own thing and have started to appreciate it for what it is. I hope they make at least 4 or 5 seasons of it and that David Peirce reconsiders and at least does one episode. It would really connect the show IMO.
The reason Frasier was so successful was due to the supporting cast being just as funny and interesting (Niles, Martin, Daphne, Roz). These new supporting characters are just not funny.
Frasier was a great show with great writers. I've tried to watch the new version, but it's not close to the original. The "Best Moments" doesn't change that opinion.
Looks like they try to continue the father's character through Freddy. With the two parents Freddy had thought he would be more interesting. Luv the old show.

Episode 6 “Blind Date” was the most reminiscent of the original Frasier. I died when they opened the door to the elderly lady (who wasn’t the date either but for a second we thought she was). All of the other episodes were “mid”. I hardly laughed. I don’t find the side characters funny, though I do appreciate how perfectly David emulates Niles and how Freddy brings Martin’s masculine ethos. They’re trying to reconstruct the same dynamics but with the generations flipped. I’m sure it’ll find its footing in the coming seasons. The most notable funny line this season for me was to Lilith “but if you’re here then who’s minding the children you lured to your gingerbread house?”
Please get season 2 going. The actors were really starting to get that natural chemistry and feel towards the end. It would be a shame to not give this reboot a chance come to its own.
Of course Cheers & Frasier were iconic shows in the 80s & 90s. Season 2 has to have Jane Leeves & David Hyde Pierce. Niles & Frasier that energy of those two were great. It was so good to see Roz and Lilith. Low-key I know this is on the streamer, but I wish it would aired on CBS.
I loved the original Frasier and I would like nothing more than to enjoy this series, but it just isn't the same, nor as good. That is not a criticism of the actors, who are giving it their all, but it just doesn't flow in the same way that the original did.
This man has not lost a beat with the character. I love his snobbery.

I think they did a great job . We don't get these kinds of shows anymore and it's nice to have one.
Roz returning should have been the first clip shown. Now, in season two bring Niles and his wife back. Niles and Frasier together will be epic.
We might get Daphne, but David Hyde Pierce (Niles) declined to be in this. He’s not a fan of reboots and would rather leave Niles in his past.

My problem is no involvement of ANY previous cast membets of import. Niles is missed. I LOVED how Kelsey played off David. I miss that chemistry.
Sadly you can't remake that. These characters have matured and it wouldn't be organic.

I was a huge Frasier fan, all the way back to Cheers, but I just can’t do this.
The one constant across the three shows is that Kelsey Grammer will always be Frasier.

Please get season 2 going. The actors were really starting to get that natural chemistry and feel towards the end. It would be a shame to not give this reboot a chance come to its own.

Of course Cheers & Frasier were iconic shows in the 80s & 90s. Season 2 has to have Jane Leeves & David Hyde Pierce. Niles & Frasier that energy of those two were great.
It was so good to see Roz and Lilith. Low-key I know this is on the streamer, but I wish it would aired on CBS.
I loved the original Frasier and I would like nothing more than to enjoy this series, but it just isn't the same, nor as good. That is not a criticism of the actors, who are giving it their all, but it just doesn't flow in the same way that the original did.
Allan was a great addition to the show. He's hillarious.
Its clearly lacking the old writers. They are what made the show
