    The video and your very intuitive instructions helped me a great deal. I completed the whole job in just under three hours, including cleanup and test drive around the block. Thank you.

    why would you need to bleed the lines? The system was not opened to the air. I would only bleed lines if you had to replace a brake hose or caliper.

    • @straighttothepoint2717
      @straighttothepoint2717 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you gotta bleed the lines because kia is stupid

    • @Hang10boards
      @Hang10boards 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Bingo... if the system isn't cracked opened there is no need to bleed the brake lines?
      I've owned 4 kia's... Rio to the 2018 Turbo Soul.... never needed to bleed lines from just compressing the caliper piston?

    • @thebeaglebeat3615
      @thebeaglebeat3615 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no need to bleed, unless your master cylinder is going to overflow, if someone added additional fluid at some point.

    • @simoncridge6578
      @simoncridge6578 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Did they mention about unscrewing the master cylinder top top all brake fluid level to rise with caliper compression.

    Good info however you didn't mention removing the cap on the reservoir to release pressure when pushing the calipers back on both the front and rear videos you posted

    • @ImDultra
      @ImDultra 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That helps a bit but there’s an air hole on the top of the cap that lets air out naturally

    You should take the caliper pins out and grease them every time.

    Hello, I like the way you use a C clamp to push back the caliper piston, on some other youtubers they show that you have to rotate the piston while pushing it back, what is you thoughts about it? Mine is a rio 2018 ex

    • @PhillipsVision
      @PhillipsVision  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On the rear ones I believe you have to rotate them back down.

      Just apply a small amount of grease to the backs of the pads (not the fronts) and the tabs where they slide in the rails
