As a person who always invests in liquid funds, I can say that all the information you have given here are spot on. I advise everyone to keep a certain portion of their investments in liquid funds as they are relatively very safe and highly flexible.

Thanks Mr. Kamra, for the simplest way of explaining about the LFs. I have a couple of questions if you could respond to:
    1. Has the today's situation, in any form, affected the nature and the features of the Liquid Funds?
    2. Does it matter if I invest in this fund myself or with the help of an investment company? If yes, how?

Hi Pranjal thanks for the video. It was so well explained. However after watching this video I was comparing FD rates vs Rate of return of liquid funds. 1 year fd return is around 5 to 5.5% in most banks , but 1 year return of a good liquid fund is around 3.3%. So in this scenario FD clearly is a better choice as it has higher return and more safe. Could you please explain this difference.

@@shubhamyadav4903 You get back the fd money in 5-10 minutes while exiting liquid fund can take 2-5 days for money to get deposited back to your account.
I did a lot of research and don't see where liquid fund could be better than fd's.
Only one thing is if you hold liquid fund for >3 years, long term tax benefits can be availed alongwith indexation benefits while fd returns are always taxed as per your income slab

sir, i dont have much idea. So in liquid funds, once we start investing our money, do we have to put in more money every year or every month?
and the interest that we will be receiving, will it be applied on the money we put on the first day or the money we have in the liquid fund just before the completion of one year?
are there chances of getting our returns increased if we put more money every month into the liquid fund? pls help sir

Have a query about balanced fund: I see most of the balanced funds charges expense ratio more 1.5% or 2% (direct or regular plan), also came to know most of the PMS charges not more than 2% per annul. Can you share some details on this analogy for customer to decide on which one should for lump-sum investment for long term?
    Fund name Expense ratio
ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund 1.72
DSP Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund - Regular Plan 2.28
IDFC Dynamic Equity Fund - Regular Plan 2.34
    L&T Balanced Advantage Fund 2.43
    HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund 1.62
This comparison is odd but considering safety with balanced fund vs PMS which can give very good returns over long term(minimizes risk) 10-15 years - and charges looks similar - so which one should be beneficial?

I was having a look at the performance of the Top Gilt Mutual Funds & am amazed to see that they have done better than many of the Equity Mutual Funds and as they invest in Govt. Securities they are super safe! Can you explain how they work exactly? What I read is "they change on the basis of Interest Rate Changes: Higher Interest Rate -> Low NAV & Vice Versa. I did not completely understand why it happens and need info about it and if there is lock-in period.

I am a Class 12 student about to go into college. I had a serious question and doubt. I am planning to make a career in the financial markets and gain work experience too after that. Bhaiya, if my college for undergraduate course is not very good or doesn't provide placements, I'll be surely trying for off campus placements. I will be equiping myself with FRM and CFA L-1 and advanced exce;. financial modelling. Also either of R or Python. So with this skill set, would trying for off campus placements be less rewarding compared to colleges where big companiees like D.E Shaw come. If I go ahead with applying off campus, and some student gets an offer from college placements, would my CTC or would be lower to him? Would I be considered equal and would they offer fair pay and position?
