Yeah like he said its best to skip the t5 enless you plan to do mods to the trans itself another good low dollar option is the nv3500 there pretty stout transmissions
Jason Miller do t have any Dyno numbers but knowing what it does at the track and similar setups it probably makes around 340-360whp so around low 400hp at the crank I would guess. It's a pretty mild setup.

I have a carbed 327 with around 400hp I wanna put in this 86 z28 and a t56 Trans, I’m trying to figure out some people that have done similar swaps I know yours is a newer engine with fuel injection I’m assuming.. but nice car and any info even just on the trans swap would be great.
The car currently has 3.73 gears. The car runs well still needs a bit of tuning but feels good driving. I’ll try to remember to throw up some clips of when I had it dynoed.

@@jefferycranmore5426 4.11 would be a great gear. Tire size will also play a factor on how the ratios will be effected also. I’m running a Fbody t56 which has a little longer ratios vs like a mn12 t56 from a GTO. I also have a 69 c10 project I work on from time to time.

Found my 69 2wd short bed step side from a old neighbor of a friend of mine a couple of years ago. Drug it out of the woods and tinker with it from time to time. It will get this 5.3 from my trans am eventually as I have more plans for the bird. I also have a z28 z03 car I plan to try and do more videos with soon since it’s getting a steering and brake overhaul. This bird was my first car though so I’ll always relive my youth though it lol
zachyd94 they are 3rd gen pedals and I cut the factory clutch rod stud and welded on a 3/8 stud and am using a tick performance adjustable master cyl for a 4th gen

I know this is an older video but you have the right recipe, that is one bad 3rd gen! What rear gears are you using? Love the vids enjoy!

Did you convert everything over to run it fuel injected with harness etc? Or threw a LS and a carb under the hood.
