The Danish Legacy Of Serampore

Serampore in West Bengal was Denmark’s colony in 18th century. It was a Danish outpost from 1755 to 1845. This West Bengal town is now restoring the buildings which bear testament to its European legacy.

Bankipur has Austrian Netherlands heritage (mainly Belgians). Portuguese legacy in Bengal upto 1666 is mainly in Bangladesh I think. Porto Grande de Bengala, Xatiganj

Till this day i didn't know that denmark had its colonies in India . I only knew about Portuguese, Britishers , French and Dutch colonisation

There is nothing remarkable about these buildings or structures that require these to be preserved. Have you guys shown similar interest in Hindu structures. Stop living in the past. Our stupidity brought these people to rule us. Set up an industrial unit here.
