Since I talk with Leonardo da Vinci all the time while I'm working on a painting, it will be no less strange (for me, anyway) to consult an octopus. By the way, Rocky, I LOVE your species. I'm an aquarist at the Bermuda Aquarium. I currently work with our vulgaris and was going to try and get her to paint. Can you tell me what sort of paint you use?
@@hayes064 As a painter please don't ever use watercolor, it has super toxic stuff in it that even humans have to handle with care. Don't go with oils either, or acrylic though acrylic might be lesser of the three in toxic terms. Perhaps a child safe washable tempera? Though if the animal makes a lot of contact I don't know if octopus can be allergic to things? To bad they don't make octopus safe paints, for the curious little guys. I know some natural dyes are made from food stuffs like beets and onion skins, just a thought.
