@@vuhlandesHey, congratulations on hitting 400K! You do solid work and it shows. I'm going to be here for the Millie! Thanks for the vintage lens segment; I love shooting on vintage glass and Nikon makes the best (even though they have crappy cameras); nothing else compares to the look of it.
I found the 50mm f2 at a local pawn shop for $20. Adapted it to my Fuji XT4 and it's been magical ever since. Can't believe the results you can get from these 50 year old lenses.
Nice to see your channel grow. You're a unique creator on TH-cam for sure. As to vintage lenses: 100%! With mirrorless full frame cameras becoming cheaper and more accessible year by year, vintage lenses will only grow in popularity. I already got all the Minolta Rokkor glass I could ever want/need. Best to grab what you want now, it's only going to get more expensive from here on.
That short was gorgeous, man! You have a great eye for cinematography and storytelling, and I can't imagine how much time and effort must have gone into developing those skill-sets over the years. Congrats on 400k; very well deserved!
I actually own a couple of AI-S lenses that I use on my cameras and I love the look. Sometimes I forget how strong lens flares can get, as well as the look you get out of them. But based on my previous research, the main difference between the AI and AI-S lenses is the better coating on the AI-S, which is what led to my choice.
I fell onto your page cos I"m searching for info on using old lenses on 'newer' cameras (and I mean "newer" cos I'm on Soc Sec and can't afford those pricey ones). And your page turned up and then I saw the footage and your post that you'd made leaps and bounds for subscribers... so kudoes! Your footage is just beautiful. Those colors are magnificent... thank you sooo much. I'm an ole punk rocker and have dabbled in art in so many ways and now decided to try photography. I piced up an ole Coolpix a couple years ago but I find it boring... I can't mess with the settings and I feel that need to ..so, I'm going for an ole Canon D10 and then going to pick up a Konica Hexanon and adapter so I am forced to play in a certain format/view and see what I can learn. And your little vid here is just pushing me onward. Thank you, again. Pls, be safe and all my love.
You’re just lacking a script man, but then you’re gonna be on your way for a short feature movie. Love the look of that footage, color grading is beautiful, id even say your footage is 5x better than the last Netflix production I’ve seen, it’s looks like proper movie stills, im kinda impressed and im not even into video, but well done really
You deserve the channel growth, sir. Every video is inspiring. I have developed a love for vintage lenses and this video, from start to finish, looks amazing. Great work!
I got a 50mm 1.4 nikkor 10 years ago for 90 bucks and still loving it for both photography and videography. Best move to film this video on the lens you are talking about!
You can modify the aperture ring to non-click by disassembling a little bit. Be careful not to mess up infinity focus calibration. Most ai-s and af-d lenses share same internal optical design so whether it's ai-s or af-d doesn't matter. Those lenses were produced in nikon's golden era and almost all of them are great to use even these days. I recommend you 50mm f1.2, 180mm f2.8 and 105mm f2.8 macro. It's sad to see people degrading all nikon gears for absurd reasons(other than body af performance haha). Their lenses and ergonomics are great.
subbed just off the first 46 seconds, happy for u big dog. i myself have started dabbling into photography and purchased my first camera, im tuned in! bless!!
Nice short film. 4:3 aspect ratio works well. Thanks for the tip on the vintage lens; I just ordered one plus an adapter for my XH2s. Also, nice sweater you're wearing - very festive!
You deserve it and your work deserves may more eyes to be seeing it. Keep doing you and the world will one day realize the work you do is above the rest.
Well said man!! I bought my Vintage Nikon lenses from the USA basically 12 years ago when I owned a 5DMark2 and they are amazing. I quit using them because I had to rely on autofocus with my work but I am going to use them more often for my personal youtube projects.
I really like that I can feel your passion through this video! I also really love your shooting style. These vintage shots are amazing. Really want to stop doing some shooting like this now. Great video!!!❤
CONGRATS ON 400k GAWD DAMN IT !!!!! WELL DESERVED. The one thing I love about your work is that you always put YOU in if that makes sense, I hope it does lmao but congrats . Love the new place too.
Congratulations! You're a talented guy and I'm happy to see you rewarded for your work. As for vintage lenses, they're fun because of the "easter egg" surprises you receive by using them. If you're still looking, find a 105mm f2.5 ai or ais. It's a legend.
Good one! I’m so happy I found your channel free days ago. I don’t even own any camera other than iPhone, but I find visuals so inspiring that I started learning, what can I do with what I have, to get something similar to what you show us.
New Sub! You got me at Lover's Rock. LOVE LOVE the saturated look I like to shoot. Almost cross processed feel but in a sharper look. Miss that so much in films. Dunno what most cinematographers FEEL when they are shooting that "color" that looks like monochrome lol. Great work - thank you!
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 congrats on the 400K bro. And on such a great lens review. Everything you shot has kind of a Fargo feel but with something more unique which I can’t put my finger on. These old-school Nikon lenses are indeed, when they really had their shit rockin! How do you feel they compare to some of them more affordable, inexpensive cinema lenses? I ask because they really are gorgeous!
Tricky thing with the Nikons (especially if you've already developed focus pulling muscle memory) is that they focus the opposite direction. Really great look from them though.
I collect cameras and lenses and all you say is true, Nikon lenses are good, as are Takumar, but i watched a youtube guy who like you uses vintage Minolta worth a watch key in cinematic or film using vintage Minolta, back to your channel, i like it, relaxing and the video was good!
Congrats on 400k dude. Legend. You're gonna keep going up from here! No one else deserves it like you
I love you brother
FACTS.

If you need some Vintage lenses suggestions, I can help :) I think you would love to test out some projector lenses.

Are you using dull adapter or speedbooster? 50mm on asp-c sensor is like 75mm which is kinda tight
@@antonzavarzin7208 I'm using a dull adapter. One of the $20 ones on Amazon. It's my first manual lens. I mostly use my 35 1.4.
Nice to see your channel grow. You're a unique creator on TH-cam for sure.

Any lense recommendations for the M50?
I like your new digs, but just please yourself and don't worry about what others think.
Your work is high high value... very inspiring.
Change is a part of life. I personally think the new space looks dope and am looking forward to trying the nikkon lens you recommended. Much love
Appreciate that man. That’s what I thought. Haha thank you
I think you are the best colorist and director of photography on TH-cam. Amazing.
That short was gorgeous, man! You have a great eye for cinematography and storytelling, and I can't imagine how much time and effort must have gone into developing those skill-sets over the years. Congrats on 400k; very well deserved!
Congrats Vuh! 🎉
Congratulations Vuh! always keeping it 100%. Another Siqq video!!!!🎉🎉🎉

Bro rlly comes out here with the most characteristic cinematography and colour grading. Cant get enough of your videos
You truly are my favorite storyteller. I started my videography specifically based off of your inspiration. Congrats on 400k!
I was just binge watching some of your old video and then you upload this gem ✅
You’re just lacking a script man, but then you’re gonna be on your way for a short feature movie.

I guess i tell you everything when i tell you: you fkn put a genuine smile on my face with the first scenes. Absolutely fantastic, love the feeling
Side rant I dislike when TH-camr influencers say I don’t do photography FPS = motion pictures = video luvvvvvv u brooooo
Really liking the 4:3 format. Glad you’re using it more since covering about it in your previous video.

Your calm storytelling and good tips, will bring you soon 1m

I am very proud of your growth followed you early on when you were under 50k wishing you a fast million
Congratulations Vuh glad to see you doing you thang.
The 'S' stands for 'Sept' (Latin for '7', referring to the number of lens elements)
I wish it just simply stood for “sweet” or something
Congrats on the 400k. We appreciate you !!
I love the idea of using what is available. Spending tons of money is not always the answer. Hello from a new subscriber in Royal Oak!
Yo, Vuhlandes you're an inspiration, my guy. Congratulations!
You deserve all the flowers... True artist
subbed just off the first 46 seconds, happy for u big dog. i myself have started dabbling into photography and purchased my first camera, im tuned in! bless!!
The image that these lenses produce is amazing! Did you use your sony fx3 or blackmagic camera?
Congrats big dog your videos are so nostalgic super dope my boy
Congrats on 400k! One of the best on the platform
Love the vibes, the color grading, this video is both warm and cold 💯
400k! Amazing! You continue to make beautiful pictures bro
I have about 20 lenses and they're all Nikon F mount and i use them with my Blackmagic's and Z Cam. Can't beat them for the price! Congrats on 400k!

Congrats Vuh !! Looking forward to seeing what kinda film photography projects you got coming up man
Shot on these a lot, they're super rad. I would also recommend the Zeiss distagon lenses at the expense of a few more bones.
I have a few old Nikon lenses that I love using both when filming with my D800 and my Lumix G100. I use a 55mm f/3.5 and an 85mm f/1.4.
I love your color grading!
I love working with vintage lenses. great video as always and congrats on the follows! you work hard and you deserve it.🌸✨
This was amazing looking forward to a short film.
Wow, that was amazing!!!
Your so talented bro. Big inspo. Your model is deff a beauty as well:) I think I fell in love lol

Tricky thing with the Nikons (especially if you've already developed focus pulling muscle memory) is that they focus the opposite direction. Really great look from them though.
Everything about the Nikon systems are backwards for some reason. Hate it but can’t bring myself to sell off my Nikon bodies.
Congratulations dude! Your are so worth it 📷🔥
we gonna get you to 500k my brotha
Great content, heard to find TH-cam movies that i like. Keep up the amazing work, and i love your colaboration with film and digital.

I've been using a full set of these 1.4 primes for 30+ years. Great lenses.
