I assumed with it being called Leith Links that it would be a golf course.

Hey Tony and Clan ❤️ From what I've read about the mounds in Leith Links, they were made as batteries during battle 👌

I think through your videos I have gotten more history lessons on Scotland than I grew up with in the US. These are great. Keep them coming.

Thanks for that Tony. We've stayed in Leith and Newhaven many times over the years but have never visited Leith Links. We love the Meadows and the Links seem to have that sort of vibe. We will check it out someday 👍

    Mentioned it before
...but, I love Leith! 💙 and it's true!
When I visit and people ask, I say,
    'I'm going to Leith, Edinburgh'
bc there is a distinction 😉
    Lovely history lesson, Tony

I was born at Elbe Street Leith which is only minutes away from Leith Links I left Leith when I was 18 months old but went to Leith Academy when I was 12 Hated that school 🏫 but enjoyed lunch times in the links 😀 My eldest brother was born in Gt Junction Street Leith My parents moved to Elbe Street when my brother was 2 so that would be 1931 My brother was19 when we all left Leith he so loved that place My brother ( walt ) died in 2018 his family 👪 scattered his ashes 😢 in North Berwick dont no why as Leith held seriously happy memories for him i think he would have wanted to be scattered in the links 😀 In 1939 the water of Leith froze over my brother and his pal went walking 🚶‍♂️ on the ice 🧊 The ice caved in and they ended up very wet and cold but they both lived to tell the tale Its a pity Walt is not around he knew Leith so well

So funny Tony I was seeing the mounds in the background, in my head I was thinking Iron Age mound fort or motte and bailey in an otherwise very flat park, never occurred to me it might be plague burial mounds. Enjoyed the video
