We like you Luke, but being around certain types of activist/grievance gays isn't very enjoyable to watch, especially when we're being lectured at the majority of the movie by the worst kind in the LGBTQ community. Many gays like watching traditional things and that would include two gay guys behaving in traditional ways to heterosexual couples... as that is what marriage EQUALITY was about. The only successful gay relationships I see is when one has the male energy and the other has the female energy. Relationships that don't have that polarity are doomed to fail.

I love movies and tv series about romantic gay storys HOWEVER, this seems more about preaching about identity politics than an actual rom com. If you want to see romantic loved storys, romcom's I suggest asian dramas. Hollyweird is outdated and clichéed.
There's some of that in the movie, but the rom-com aspect is the main storyline. You'd just never know it from Billy Eichner's press tour, which had me wondering if he'd end up quoting Neil Armstrong's first words from the moon when describing its importance.
