I’ve watched every Bros press interview I could get my hands on, and IMO this one is by far the best. Unusually penetrating questions with genuinely revealing answers. At age 70, being openly gay all my life, Bros is like a gift from the gods. Seen it three times in the theater, twice with straight friends, all of us loving it. This interview made me think of a little-known little theater 80s musical by Bill Solly called Boy Meets Boy. Its quasi-1920s time frame treats gay relationships as totally natural. How remarkable it would be to have Billy and Luke star in a film version, one this lovely musical so richly deserves, Luke as the romantic lead and Billy as the hilarious villain! Ah, well. One can only dream.

A gay romcom would have been beautiful if only that’s what it were but it was way more than that and it was pushing homosexuality in your face the entire time. And I am a bisexual woman and I am a hairdresser and I have many gay friends and I love that but this was beyond much for a gay romcom. It should’ve been a gay romcom and that’s all there was to it but they made it way much more

Its not sweet home alabama. It’s a raunchy rated R romcom. Its no different then “straight” movies like American Pie where tits and hetero are thrown in our faces. I loved it

10 min into the movie and I couldn’t continue watching. The main character is not charismatic, the story line is f boring and the jokes are offensive specially the one about Jesus. Now I understand why people didn’t want to watch it.

This movie flopped because Billy is an entirely unlikeable personality. Even in the gay community he’s not considered a star. Definitely not a leading man.
