    For those who are not fans of the "umm"s and the poor editing in this early video, feel free to check out my remake! I feel like it is much more put together and doesn't have music to blast your eardrums. Thanks!

    You very well may have saved my sanity. I found a great deal on a gorgeous old six paned window that I had intended on painting with acrylic flowers. I'm no artist and I've been losing my mind trying to paint something I liked and that would do justice to my window. Thank you so much, I'm totally trying this. 💙

    I've had a few people mention it in the comments, and I want to apologize for all the "umm"s in this video! This was one of my first projects and you can tell I wasn't very comfortable with the camera. It's similar to the pressures of public speaking. In retrospect, I could have rehearsed my words more and maybe even tried to edit some of the umms out. I hope you all still enjoy watching the video and I encourage you to check out some of my more recent videos, there's a better flow to them and I've been working hard to decrease my umms!
    EDIT: I also hear you about the bad and loud music. Stated above, this was one of my first projects and the video/music editing needed some work. The music is different and has a more consistent volume in my newer videos.

    Thanks so much for sharing your creativity. Also I would think one could maybe use silver (maybe a metallic silver) or a shade of gray paint instead of the black for the outline. To give it a lead outlined look. Just asking 😊 Also if I may ask what is the ratio of the glue and paint or does it matter.

    • @craftswithpaige222
      @craftswithpaige222  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You could totally use whatever color you’d like for the outline! In my remake of this video, I use copper and it looks metallic too. And the ratio of glue to paint depends on how transparent you’d like your colors. More paint = more opaque. I’d estimate a 5:1 ratio for a colorful yet transparent look. Hope this helps!

    I appreciate your effort here. It is lovely--people are picky, I guess about the rest of it. { I don't care about music or 'um's--as long as you are willing to share. } I used to cut stained glass , years ago. Expensive and dangerous. And the pieces were so heavy! I did watch another lesson on this craft. But it was all ink and glue. As one that crafted realy glass..most my pieces were a combo of see through and opaque glass. So with the acrylic paint color in glue and..the ink in glue--it should be a nice effect of a realistic piece.Great job. Now I know what to do with all my spare frames..

    Wanted to share another option for creating stained glass paint( you might know this already of course)
    I used food colouring with clear glue. This gives a much more transparent look. I prefer this for my stained glass art work as more light gets through and brightens up the room.
    These days I use store bought glass paint (a brand called Pidilite makes great glass paints)
    as I found the finishing to be better.
    The frosted look has its place too of course.
    Great job 👏🏻
