    I appreciate your recording this program. Thank you Dr. Bischoff and Compassion and Choices. When my father was diagnosed with ALS (1972), there was nothing. He and my mom were just told it's terminal, he could live from 1-10 years. No assistive devices, no guidance about diet or exercise, no support groups, actually no support or assistance of any kind. I am so glad that awful situation has changed so dramatically. Awful disease, but support by professionals and ALSA must be making a world of difference to all the people diagnosed with this dreadful disease.
