It looks really pretty there, even though so cold :) I like your barn and pen set ups. Blessings!

Progress on the barn interior looking good. Hope it works well for you. The animals are looking great with your custom feed mixture.

I appreciate that. I’ve been observing and adjusting feed since they were calves! I’m a visual learning, so seeing cause and effect changing feed has been helpful.
I want my Holstein heavier and the steers, but other than that I’m pretty happy all together 😁
I’ll post an update soon how how the girls did in the free stalls…. Hint… you were right! 🤣

@@FaithNFarmstead You tried at least, I grew up with an existing facility, probably from the 40's but functioned for the 4-6 we milked. We were a little more prepared than you. I had 2 Surge bucket milkers, a vacuum pump and a DeLaval cream separator before the calves came.

@@kswaynes7569 We have a machine with a portable pump on it!! I’m going to start using it here in the next couple of weeks :) Just don’t want to clean it twice a day for the amount of milk I’m getting right now. It’ll make more sense with two cows :)
We are city folk transitioning to the farm life! Last night we said… “well… we’ve collected more experience!!” 🤣 long story short- we need better dividers.
