Hey Chris, thanks for this great instruction. Very thorough and detailed. With your help I replaced the valence on my 2019 Tacoma for the price of an $80 after market valence that fit fine. Just as ENTERTAINMENTSERVICE below suggests, one caveat for later Taco models is that you need to disconnect the electrical harness to the emblem in the middle of the grill before removing it. Glad to get rid of the duck tape band-aids on my front side! Thanks again.
You can easily access the blue clips through the wheel wells. One screw and one clip on each wheel well gives you enough room to stick your arm in and pop in the blue clips. Save so much time on removing the entire grill. Was able to put on a new front valance in under ten minutes.
Great video! I have a 2019 SR5 and there is a little wire that is connected to the grill so I could not take it completely off. I just propped the grill on top of the engine bay with the wire attached and got the job done.
Right on. Glad I saw your comment. The harness wasn't much of a problem to undo and reconnect. I put a little dielectric grease on it when reconnecting.
Good video shows exactly how to safely take everything off and put everything back on even though you lost yours in the flood I was looking for a video like this so I can put on a black trim piece like that on my red Tacoma to go with the black flares on the side
Thank you for making this video. Installing a new valance without your video would have made for some bloody knuckles and curse words! Frustrated that Toyota makes such a flimsy part as mine must have been a parking lot injury that I never saw happen.
Im having trouble putting on the Valance like one side pops off then when I pop it back in the other side pops off do you think you know why? The bumper is aligned good
@@chriscraft77022 i think when I order it it didn't come with the blue clips but I also seen other TH-camr post it but they never mention about that blue clip
Great video you went right to my sore spot after truck hitch destroyed my plate and popped lower trim. I made mistake of removing right side inner splash shield fastener's, a real bee hive of different plastic plugs holding outer edge of splash shield inside the fender/wheel area. Your video was a simple way of reinstalling the Blue 2 clips compared to trying to install from under side as I tried and had to repair that plastic area. They are a required to get a good fit up. I can only say as a old guy I wish I would have found your solution to my issue. Now I hope I can find the correct plastic combo's to reinstall my Right inner wheel plastic shield back, any help is appreciated. 5 *****'s for your VIDEO & a honest Thank you!
Please, I'm pretty sure Chris has sold all his Blue Clips by now and I really need two. The online store comments section said I didn't need them but I think I do. Can someone please tell me a part number or even better send me a link? Thank you.
I never sold any.. people don’t learn from their mistakes.. I will try to find them.. I found them.. I need $10 and I can ship them Monday .. let me know

Randy! HUGE HELP!!! Thanks!
That’s the best video I’ve seen so far explaining and showing which clips need to be removed.
Thanks for the video. I’m going to replace mine because I dinged it up pulling into my tight garage. Do you have a part number for those blue clips?

This happened to my truck after I drove through flood water a few weeks ago. Toyota quoted me $220 for the part. Definitely bought the cheaper option.
Do you know how to remove the little grill in between the foglights?
