  • This begins with "the other Trumps" project in Miami, Florida. My colleague, Tom Cottle does a wonderful job with this interview.
    Sophia Loren appeared in several bit parts and minor roles in the early part of the decade, until her five-picture contract with Paramount in 1956 launched her international career. Notable film appearances around this time include The Pride and the Passion, Houseboat, and It Started in Naples.
    Her talents as an actress were not recognized until her performance as Cesira in Vittorio De Sica's Two Women; Loren's performance earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1962 and made her the first artist to win an Oscar for a foreign-language performance. She holds the record for having earned six David di Donatello Awards for Best Actress: Two Women; Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow; Marriage Italian Style (for which she was nominated for a second Oscar); Sunflower; The Voyage; and A Special Day. After starting a family in the early 1970s, Loren chose to make only occasional film appearances. In later years, she has appeared in American films such as Grumpier Old Men and Nine.

    ITS SO NICE TO HEAR PEOPLE TALK SO NICE ABOUT THEIR MOTHERS.....TOO MANY PEOPLE TALK SHIT ABOUT PARENTS ...ITS REALLY THE HARDEST JOB ON THE PLANET!!!

    • @AvecPoesie
      @AvecPoesie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Those speaking ill of their parents have not yet progressed far enough internally. It takes a great-deal of inner work to reach a place in one's spirit and mind in which parents, with all their faults and shortcomings can be regarded with understanding, compassion, and in some cases, pity. They too are products of their own traumas and their own imperfect parents.

    • @incognito.502
      @incognito.502 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      You are partly right but also know a lot of parents are abusive, murder and abandon their children. If you as a parent have some sort of trauma, that doesnt give you and excuse nor a right to do the same to your children. And pass that on from generation to generation. Pleade get your facts straight.

    • @AvecPoesie
      @AvecPoesie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Naturally. My words were not meant to assuage any actions of severe or extreme abuse. My words were in reference to the OP mentioning those that speak ill of parents doing "the hardest job." Assuming one's parents are indeed doing their job, providing, loving, raising their children up as best they can albeit imperfectly because human beings are by nature imperfect, than yes, we must recognize this humanity and their origins/traumas that have shaped them. Murderous, abusive, and abandoning parents are of course, inexcusably monstrous.

      You know, she gives much evidence of why she hold her mother in great esteem. Many people talk unflatteringly about parents because, in all honesty, many parents don't put much effort ....to say the least.

      If someone isn’t a good person- or not good for you- it is best to leave instead of staying.
      Also men often struggle with being less famous and infidelity or worse is often the result.
      In both cases it’s best to leave and find someone else. No false sense of moral should keep you back to improve your life.
