I don’t care how wonderful it is to try and give indigenous acts a hand up , I’ve old western ears and eyes and try as I might , I cannot get into this and rather than continue savaging it I will gracefully slink away into the corner with a REALLY worried look in my face that I might be the problem , that I am incapable of accepting THAT as genuine entertainment or that I’m sooooo old and set in my ways that I’ve now no room for new and innovative bands or artists …. I’m genuinely worried about that now and wish I’d never seen this vid AT ALL or your both positive reaction to it …. It's fine if you don't like it. We all come from different backgrounds. Ours includes an interest in indigenous music. We find it particularly interesting that they're using a digital beat, which comes from our love of dance music and Hip Hop. So, we're the weirdoes.
I like indigenous music to remain authentic and true to itself. I don't feel like I"m listening to young indigenous people carrying a tradition that's been passed down to them from previous generations and giving their traditions respect. I feel like I am watching Gen Z's messing with their ancestory and putting some modern beat to it. I always hated that style fusion. I hated Enigma, and I hated Yothu Yindi for mixing their traditional sounds with dance music. Either be a Dance Pop artist with a n incidental indigenous ancestory, or be a real traditionalist. Don't mess with your roots by making a mockery of it. I'm sorry C + C, I know you enjoy it and by all means, do so... But I feel something as ancient as this shouldn't be toyed with.

I wish this band the best of luck, although I speculate that they don't need much luck from me. But I love seeing young generations treating traditions with respect. This looks like young people of indigenous ancestory making an attempt to impress the West at the cost of the traditional preservation. This is more Gen Z than indigenous imo.

It’s an interesting and historical art form as it is , leave it alone dude . Ace of spades by Motörhead doesn’t need Oboes and a Pentecostal choir… it’s fine as it is .. use THAT stuff to create a new sound , unique and if it’s own standing .
