1:45 is a brilliant example of what people are on about with your editing , you had a pretty cool part there with some nice editing and then like a compulsive addiction had to add a sound effect at the end
Please keep covering this series. I wasn’t able to keep up with releases and lost the plot about five issues in. I keep intending to pick it back up but I keep putting it off.
Unfortunately there does though. People will lose interest about halfway through the video without them. That's also why you hear him say "it's been 10mins time to speedrun this video" after 10mins you will normally see a massive drop off in viewer retention. Test it yourself upload a normal video with minimal editing then do it again but with the brain rot and you'll see a massive difference. I agree it sucks but it is important if you're trying to grow your channel.
I’m ngl bro the premise of the story is fire, characters look pretty cool but the monsters highkey lame bro they just overgrown spiders with mouths and the weird spirit powers feel out of place like it’s forced
its less spirit powers, its more "higher level monsters that get sealed to serve as companions/trophies." And the vague looking nature of the monsters in the initial arc is due to it being a singular type, developed by kids. Kids dont have detailed ideas of stuff they're afraid of, its almost always generic. So big shadow, spider monster, is kind of the epitome of childhood fear
@@ImTheSchwa ohh so the monsters take the form of the things the kids fear? Well that’s interesting- gonna be honest I am interested in the comic but not giving it the time to day because the panels are all jumbled together making it difficult to read. And referring to the obscure interjection which is “higher level monsters that get sealed” still makes zero sense, especially when you hear the initial backstory of the thing lol. What is this jujutsu kaisen?
@@boogus1670 Yeah just about. The class type of the monster in this first arc is an "Oscuratype" which is "always generic." There's also Dracotypes, duplicitypes, etc etc. I mean sealing monsters is older than JJK. So you're being overly pedantic. They're invisible thought forms that spring from fear. Ain't really operating on real world logic with this. And its backstory was literally "killed her parents," so it still makes sense. High class monster killed her parents, it now lives in her octopus. Pretty cut dry. The monsters grow in relation to the fear and tragedy around them, generally. Now when there's a survivor from one of these monsters, the Order of ST George captures the monster and takes the kid. They then train the kid, and eventually have the kid fight their monster. If they win, they get a cool pet to help out. Usually they die. Erica survived. These are all questions solved by reading.
@@ImTheSchwa essentially, yeah it’s what I thought. Thank you for clearing it up so it’s not obscure anymore however this doesn’t change the fact that this concept of “spirits in toys” is still wildly seeming like an blatant out of place ploy/foil You see, using the “yea sealing stuff is way before jjk!!” Doesn’t matter because that’s not what I’m trying to say nor even insinuate, it’s just that you have a story which for the most part is pretty grounded in reality and such, the farthest stretch it could possibly go is things similar to that green pointy thing that makes you see the monsters- something small like that would be fine and would make the story cooler but when you throw in this once again, clearly forced upon concept of this “sealing spirits” you can kind of see what I mean. This story isn’t even that fantastical. Not only that but this concept removes tension from the story, it’s obvious what the heck they’re trying to do, make this toy spirit thing a fall back/last ditch power grab for the character when they get pressed into a character. Erica slaughter gets beat up bad by an let’s say hypothetical terrifying monster and she just falls back on the “GRRRAHH POWER OF MY DEAD DAD!” And a weird spirit monster comes out and saves her, see? Once you know this is what happens no right holds any weight because you simply know what’ll happen next. Also, it’s kinda funny to me how this organization whos main goal is seemingly to destroy these monsters, take them and take their victims and then make them fight each other for the sealed toy powers 😂 I don’t know, I don’t think this is realistic further exemplifying what I’m trying to say here
one of the big reasons people might say it's overedited is due to the bits and sfx sacrificing narrative flow, since you're telling a story one solution could be to condense the bits and narrative parts together more, rather than interspersing them out (hard cutting to the title was a great intro, and the buildup at 1:45 is great stuff, could've really set a nice atmosphere, though the mc cave noise breaks the tension too early)
Listen, I know we're supposed to be supporting Erika, and I definitely don't want to be on the side of a cul.t. The thing is, if she handled her business correctly, there wouldn't have been so many issues. It's just what? 5 innocent lives, for the sake of the whole town? Am I wrong for not seeing the issue with that math? Sure, it sort of ends alright, cus someone took the fall for all the scary murder stuff, but I see that solution as a bandage on her failure.
I don't want to sound like a hater but you don't have to do so much editing, the sound effects and memes should be occasionally put in for comic effect, not to punctuate what you're saying. It gets less funny the more often you use them
There's a spin off named House of Slaughter which follows a hunter unrelated to Erica. It's good and offers another perspective on the whole dynamics of the hunter's Houses

you should definitely drop more videos about this series
How have you only been at this 5 months you already have such a sense for what makes good content. No way this is your first channel.
great videos! unusual content, good delivery and good jokes. the editing is fine and fun, but would gladly trade it for longer content. subscribed

I thought it was completed long time ago. I had no idea it was still ongoing…
