During the recruitment scene, Megumin tries to make the guy go on a test to hunt a difficult monster by himself and there’s a reference/joke to KonoBakuen where Kazuma grabs her by the cloak and she says to not do that, because the cloak is a gift from a friend (Yun Yun.) In the LN, Dust decided to join their Party temporarily and went on a quest with other parties to drive away a giant Adaman Snail infestation at a farm (Kazuma used Snipe and Freeze to defeat monsters, while Dust struggled and had steel armor, showing Kazuma’s strengths, despite not being a Warrior like Dust.) Then, the next day had him ask Kazuma for help at the mansion and Aqua was there, too and Kazuma helps because in S1, there was meant to be a chapter (wasn’t moved to this Season, either, so it was cut completely) where he swapped parties with Dust (Dust failed the quest with the girls) and carried the entire cocky, Intermediate Class party, because unexpectedly the easy Goblin quest had a Rookie Killer (shown in KonoBakuen) watching over a Goblin army that was bigger than what was expected (30) and used his Basic Magic and Lurk to keep them all safe, which earned Rin’s trust and they formed a friendship, which is why she views him highly and didn’t get mad at Kazuma (Kazuma also projects Darkness onto Rin and yes, the Kobolds moment this Season is the opposite version of the Goblin army fight, because he chose to protect Aqua with good intentions.) For worldbuilding, that camera is a magic item as expensive as a house. 12:10 - Yes, it’s S2 again, but Alderp’s son was in S2, while this is Alderp now. Megumin brings up Soketto in the LN, referencing KonoBakuen again, while Kazuma worked on making stuff because of Vanir’s prophecy. The LN showed how he snuck in, by using his bow to form a tightrope and broke into the mansion with thermal shock on a locked window (using Tinder to heat up glass, then using Freeze) which he learned when he had Chuunibyou and looked up dangerous stuff as a kid. Fun fact: in the LN, the chef called Norris by his first name, Chuck (yes, the author made a character named Chuck Norris.) Darkness tricked Kazuma by having him sit next to her, before screaming, in the LN (also describing what would happen after Alderp’s marriage was a bit more graphic and he started cooling off with thoughts like grandmas and Dust in lingerie, because of the situation.) Like Megumin, Dust has a spin-off series focused on him (Vanir’s the only other character with a Spin-off and since this is their first true appearance in the anime: Dust the Warrior is 18 and Rin the Wizard is 15.)
If you read the novels. It’s actually super sweet knowing that kazuma purposely made that abs comment when darkness offered herself to him bc he didn’t want to take advantage of her. I get why they’d cut out the internal dialogue to keep the moment cute and funny but it’s just extra context that would’ve been nice
Well, actually Dust and that girl Rin do have a romantic connection (its explored in their own spinoff, not the main story of the anime, so its not a serious spoiler). Its just that he's such a prick and she's SUCH a huge tsundere, that it takes ages for her to show any affection to him.
I would but the mic is in the way and so is the watch window. I record the reactions completely in OBS as you see on screen except the "Please Stand By" overlay, so I couldn't snap just me in any way... Editing is all about cutting/speeding up dead space without eliminating important story/context. This is like being asked to recut an entire episode of a show without losing the story. It actually requires a lot of thought and attention. There's also cutting any personal stuff/interruptions, adjusting anime audio levels, leveling mic audio, and adding background music, clips, text, and images. TL:DR- The way I record with OBS is why thumbnails are the way they are. 😆

Long uncut segments of video can get copyright claimed, so speeding it up helps reduce the automatic checks getting something to claim. It also allows you to see more reaction, especially moments without us making comments, and more context. I know it's weird, but I do think it offers the viewer more than they may realize at first. I heard that in the manga Kazuma temporary switched his party with someone. Wasn't it Dust by any chance? All I remember is that Kazuma was happy to finally have a useful party and the other guy (Dust?) found out how useless Aqua, Darkness and Megumin are.
Darkness is too stubborn and lordly to ask for help when she is in need, she rather sacrifices herself. As for Kazumas personality: Nice guy yes - true gentleman no. He would most likely not take advantage of a girl in an emotional state of emergency just like Darkness is now, but a real gentleman would not use every opportunity to grope a girl the way he does it with Chris (nor steal her panties multiple times).

Copyright reasons. Also they sped up during the unimportant parts that we don't really care about so not really an issue tbh.
