Nice! One criticism I have though is there is a lot of wasted space on the screen. Maybe you could've displayed it in two separate maps of the North and the South like how it's done in the Book? As it is 2/3rds of the screen is just blue.
@@VologdaMapping you know the video I made? I was really ashamed of it. I tried again at napping because I feel that many people who have watched it would think I’m bad and just ignore my videos. I tried the Norman conquest of England th-cam.com/video/E6JFTksmmWA/w-d-xo.html
In the books, Illyrio Mopatis (the man who brokered Dany's marriage to Khal Drogo) organized a mercenary army for Aegon VI. Aegon's claim to the throne is that he is allegedly the only surviving child of Elia Martell and Rhaegar Targaryen (the realm thinks the Mountain killed Aegon as a baby, but Varys claims that murdered baby was a planted decoy).
Hey there Volodga Mapping, first off you did some great work on this video here, really liked the graphic depection of some of the events here. I do, however, have two questions that interest me here. 1. Do you recall where it is mentioned that the Others returned in 279/280 AC? I do vaguely remember hearing somewhere that it did happen during the Mad King's reign, but didn't remember this year in particular in the context. 2. Did you just estimate some territories/zones of control or are there some actual maps/passages where some of those things are mentioned in detail? In particular you mean the Mountain Clansmen's territories (for whatever reason I thought they were more migrating around in the Mountains of the Moon), biggest extend of the Mance Raiders' Kingdom-beyond-the-Wall as well as the lands controlled by the Faith Militant uprising. Anyhow, as I said a cool video you made, and thanks in advance for any answer.
Thanks, no I found no exact date for when the Others woke so I had to estimate it, same with much of the borders. We nearly have no exact canon borders at all.
Can you do a what if video on what if Aegon didn't invade westeros when he did... Harren the black would have invaded the stormlands before long, the westerlands and the reach wouldn't be far behind
Harren was utterly hated by all his vassals in the Riverlands, and had beggared the region as well. He likely would not be able to command the loyalty or the resources necessary to conquer so much land (imo)
@Writer-Two I'll be the one to warn you that the first four seasons of Game of Thrones have some of the greatest nonstop drama ever put on television, while the last four seasons are a consistent acceleration towards some of the worst writing ever put on television. If you want to experience the latter half of the series in good quality, you gotta pick up the books and probably a reading guide
@@tylerclayton6081 Land mass? I don't see a body of water labeled anywhere that would indicate that was a land mass. The only indication that most of that map might be a body of water is that it's light blue, and Vologda uses light blue for neighboring countries in his Ukraine maps.
