Hi, you know your videos are they for pre reg prep or can I use these for final year uni exam as well? You seem to cover all the topics tbh

Hiya, most of my videos cover content within the BNF so this can be used by pre reg students and pharmacy students of any year :) there are a few videos that are a bit more specific to pre reg students but in general most are aimed for pharmacy/medical/students who are curious about medicines at any stage :)

Copper IUD releases copper? I thought it was just there to provoke an inflammatory response.

Hellooo Hiya! The release of copper spurs an inflammatory response :)

    Hello
I am confused about something please reply
Does a women still need emergency contraception after having unprotected intercourse buttt she has managed to take the coc on all the days of cycle. Would her taking the pill correctly but having unprotected intercourse exclude her from emergency contraception.
Also if a women has had upsi since her last packet and has forgotten to take the pill in the first 7 days then why would she still need emergency contraception since pregnancy during first 3 days is unlikely. Please advise me. Thankssss

Hiya! To the first part of your question, it would be recommended that she takes the pill as soon as she remembers, and takes her next pill at her normal time (even if that means taking two pills at the same time). For the second part, EC is recommended if UPSI has taken place during the pill free interval/week 1 or if there has been missed pills during week 1. For further information refer to the BNF Missed Pills section and FSRH guidelines :)
