Epic MTB ride across the rugged Atlantic coastline and cliffs on The Isle of Lewis, Scotland. Part 2

- Join me on an adventure as I take on the Epic MTB ride along the rugged Atlantic Cliffs and terrain of the West side of the Island of Lewis. Part 1 Started at the Blackhouse Village of Gearannan (Garenin) where I followed the remote coastal path towards Dalmore. Part 2 picks up on the descent towards the beautiful beaches of Dalmore and Dalbeg as the Sun comes out. This has a great mix of challenging terrain with short technical climbs and descents that you have to pick your own lines on as there is generally no path to follow only some infrequent way marker posts. This requires some navigation at points but fortunately I had a guide for the day in Gavin Earons. Gavin is an experienced MTB guide and knows this stretch of coastline well.
For those who are interested I have included as much history and local knowledge as possible to accompany this historically rich part of the world. This is part 2 of this Coastal MTB Epic.
I will return for more in the future where I will circumnaviagte the Island and ride the rest of the coastal routes.

Some nice bike exploring on Lewis, never been but looks amazing. As much as I enjoy riding and watching others ride the regular trails, I also really enjoy going on the big days and biking holidays in Scotland, with the bonus of some decent weather, thanks for sharing!
Totally agree, I enjoy the usual well known trails but it's refreshing to go on an adventure ride and forget the stats just explore and take in your surroundings.
