Oh wow, this song....My Mom loved you and your music so much. For as far back as I can remember my Mom would listen to your music and say "oh I would marry him right now!" When I was very young like 5-11yrs old Id giggle and say "Mommy, then he would be my Dad!?!?" lol oh the innocence of children. In my Moms last days on this earth she always had to have your music playing. Yours and Elvis... But she always dreamed of being married to you.

_Engelbert... I remember you on Top of the Pops in 1967. One thing that struck me was how confident you looked as you sang Release Me...and how well you came across on T.V. Those were the days before colour T.V. .I loved that song and still do...Greetings from Ireland...ℳ∁_

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of sharing your stories and making your fans feel as important to you as you are to us. Release me was the beginning of an unparalleled career and the world took notice of a once in a lifetime talent. Thank you for all the happiness you have brought to so many on so many levels.
You reminiscing about your beginning in show business are great. I'm so glad I heard you sing your first hit Release Me in 1967, and all the great song since. It's great you have started bringing back some of your song and singing them now. I loved your voice back then. Of course your sound is different, but I think I like it even better.

Good to see you on Flashback Friday. We are so grateful to Sunday Night at the London Palladium for featuring your singing of "Release Me". You are so talented and you worked so hard to establish your career. You deserve all the blessings and opportunities that came your way as a result of this song. Of course we also became the lucky ones in that we were able to revel in your wonderful and magical voice and singing. By the way, we are also fortunate that we can view all of your TV shows such as the one entitled Engelbert and the Young Generation - songs and duets. The Jan. 1, 1972 show featured your guest, opera singer Anna Moffo with whom you sang a snippet of an aria from the opera La Bohem. Let me tell you, I couldn't believe my ears that you could carry out the vocal range demanded of this aria. You sounded like an opera singer - your rendition was so beautiful that it almost brought me to tears with happiness at hearing your magical voice. Anna Moffo was also very impressed. There are just too many wonderful songs to mention which have thrilled us since "Release Me", the song that brought you to us from all around the world. Keep on singing, stay healthy and God Bless.

I love Petula Clark when she sings Downtown and My Love when I'm at karaoke when we were able to do karaoke out in the open I would sing Downtown and I would sing My Love and my brother used to be at home singing My Love by Petula Clark all the time. By the time I was finished singing My Love by Petula I was really out of breath so I needed to learn how to breathe but everybody seemed to have loved it😊😊
