I recommend also getting a another spare transmission and getting the gears cryo treated or heat treated to harden the gears because this will keep happening eventually sadly the beta 5 speed transmissions have this issue. When you start making power. It's always 3rd and 4th that start to break. Every single time. Or if you can find Information you can swap to a Mitsubishi tecnica transmission.
Lol 3rd gear always breaks in the Tiburon trans. The Elantra trans always holds up better. Ive gone through 2 trans because of 3rd gear failing with the tibs final drive. The Elantra 3.65 final drive makes a huge difference with a turbo. As long as you stay around 300lb-ft torque, you should be alright on the stock trans.
We have right now near 580 hp and 432 torque and still running. Did you check the clearance on your the 2 trans gear shafts. The gears have to be leveled to each other and with the housing install they can’t move at all. I noticed that and shimmed both shaft until they were level and tight. Plush you have to install the flat foot shifting, that will alleviate the shock during shifts plus will keep you boost up. It is another car with that.
Yes that is in the plans. We are looking for it as we speak. The Tiburon y mostly for track racing and the Elantra or an Accent is for Drag and we planning to stay with auto trans.

I haven’t broke it yet. I took it apart and noticed that the gears were misaligned and I shimmed the gear set under de bearing, put it back together and the shaft didn’t have any play and previously they did and I installed a flatfoot shifting on my ft450 and it works amazing.

Yes I took the one that we broke an planing to do that. Have you seen the tecnica transmission installed in the tiburon and what I need ro so it.
