This video shows peltier experiments where I explore using water or liquids as the cooling/heating medium instead of air. I am on a quest to find out what works best and most efficient so that I can use that knowledge to build devices in the future such as cooling device for CO2 laser, cooling small rooms, air cooling ,DIY small fridge or mini air conditioner and maybe even an ice maker.
By using powerful 100W peltier (thermoelectric cooler) modules, with giant heat sinks and water blocks, I was able to chill a 1L glass of water from 26,3 °C down to 13,3°C in matter of 15 min.
outdoors sunny weather: ambient temperature 35 ° C

hi do you use 12v 30A power supply directly? or you also use amp regulator?

Isn't it better to cool it directly with the computer cooler?

Awesome! Do you think I can use this to get 27 Litres of water to stay at 20°C in a room with 30°C air temp? Thank you!

Would you be able to build me a device that cools water at consistent temps dialed in between 0°-5°c?

But how you regulate the temperature to keep it to 20c or 19c ?

Hey I’m trying to build an air cooler for my terrarium. I want to use that same cooler with a small pump and pump the water through a copper coil that I have floating in the air in my terrarium. What is that thing you have the cooler wired too? I need to find out how to put this together. Also wondering if it’s possible to have the cooler turn on and off at a certain temperature. Any help you could give me would be appreciated. Or even make a video about this. There’s a lot of people who need to cool their terrariums and there’s not really anything on the market.

      Any updates? I'm considering/brainstorming a similar set-up for a highland wardian case.

How is your quest going for building devices with this, such as cooling for a CO2 Laser? I would be interested in that.

That's my question as well. I'd rather not pay for a full-on laser cooler, or have to deal with dangerous refrigerants. you could probably multi-stage them, but peltiers on their own are not very efficient, so there would be a lot of loss.
