Some big sends for sure. When you want more all around power and a better built esc pick up a max 6 by hobbywing. First upgrade I made to my new xrt. Very nice difference from the stock esc. I run a max 6 in my xmaxx also. Runs cooler and drives smoother and has more power at all rpms than a vxl8s does.
Nice bash. But I would keep an eye out on your temps with the Escobar motor and batteries. The speed gearing is supposed to be for driving on pavement only. So yeah. Trust me. I've blown a lot of motors ESCS and batteries when I didn't check. 👍
If I decide yeah to hobby wing on this truck I’ll probably give it a shot. I usually wait until my esc or motor is done and I upgrade the system. Maybe gonna go castle.
The factory Traxxas motor makes plenty of power once you go to a better esc. A mmx8s or max6 are both good options to use. And then you can safely gear up also if you want more overall speed. I went max6 so soon thanks to having a doa factory esc. I normally wait until the Traxxas escs fail but this one was evidently destined for a max6 out of the box lol. My replacement vxl8s came today. Debating making someone a good deal on it while it’s new in the package.
I got the kraton 6s v5 two years ago now I want the XRT it looks tough , fast and well built I guess I’ll have to save up again a couple years to afford one lol. It sux being poor 😢
@@Rcbash77 are you having issues with bulkheads on xrt rear one and hinge pins ? There is a video of toe bar being added didn’t know if you done this or your bulkheads aren’t giving you any issues.
Can you run Traxxas lipos on max 6 esc being they are id lipos? And was going to solder one connector and use the Traxxas series adapter to keep Traxxas lipos?

I use Traxxas batteries on my Max6. The extra wires are for the charging.
