    Keep in mind there are 3 different types of buttons (A, B and C) all are different and won't just pop off with glue, clay etc.

    • @TronApostle
      @TronApostle ปีที่แล้ว +2

      How do u know which one u have?

    • @indyguy5570
      @indyguy5570 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TronApostleIt depends on the year amd model. The best advice would be to contact the dealer and ask for their part number. You can then cross refernce them online for about $15 US dollars. The difference is how they snap in place on the back of the button. Mine for example is a 2001 F10 535i and the first one I bought was shorter in depth and would not fit. Mine required the dash trim removal and manual removal with a small pick to release the tabs in the back. The type he is using in this video does not fit my car. Hope this helps.

    Hi thank you for sharing. Great video. Will this work for 2016 x3 F25? Nervous to try based on the review from the person below stating they were having ignition issues after. Where can I buy the new button cover for my model/yr vehicle? Any guidance appreciated. Thank you.

    Is the OEM switch damaged in any way from the glue stick, or does the glue come off cleanly?

    • @CrazyCarMods
      @CrazyCarMods  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The glue comes of easy, no issues what so ever. Unless you can visually see the paint peeling off before the glue stick.

    • @TronApostle
      @TronApostle 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kenmcghee1509 Yea, definitely do NOT do this method lol. I took out the dash trim piece and then removed the button from the back, absolutely don’t try to pull it out from the front like this. I was pretty scared/intimidated at first but I was able to do it in under 20 mins easily with just TH-cam tutorials. Mine had a super worn about button and you couldn’t read it so that’s why I replaced it with another black one. Good luck!

    • @CrazyCarMods
      @CrazyCarMods  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You shouldn't have any issues, the button replacement is like oem. Did you make sure the two rubber nipple plastics were in properly? Those plastic rubber pieces is what makes the button bounce back.
      I would try to take it out and double check those rubbers since thats probably why is sticking. Which codes are you getting?

      My glue sitck is coming off

    • @CrazyCarMods
      @CrazyCarMods  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clean the button itself with alcohol and let it dry. Then when attaching the glue stick to the button, don’t move it so it can adhere well. Also when melting the glue stick don’t let the glue burn (just melt it a little bit)
      When sticking it to the button press firmly and don’t move the glue stick.
      Lastly, wait at least a minute or two, before pulling it out.
      Or just simply, follow the steps above and try 2 or even 3 glue sticks together to get more pulling surface.
      Hope that helps, good luck. 👍

    • @kolourblind3124
      @kolourblind3124 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@helezisrael7482 I mean if the button is junk anyway you could also try scuffing it up a little with a scuff pad before wiping it with alcohol and applying glue. Will be able to adhere better. I also like the idea of using 3 glue sticks or the automotive glue sticks for paintless dent removal you can find on Amazon. Very strong glue.
