Since I’m going to repaint the black trim that’s around and in between the button and silver trim; I’m going to use Justin’s method. Easier to sand down and repaint that black trim to be repainted when it’s off the console rather than on and getting paint all over the dash lol If the trim didn’t have chipped off paint I would gladly use this easier method no doubt.
It doesn't seem worth it unless the frame around it is replaced or repainted too, E90 start buttons just look awful after the factory paint comes off. It happens on the steering wheel buttons too. I'm glad I'm not seeing this on my F30.
I just went through the steps shown in the clip and within 5 minutes my new red button was installed. No damage and it’s working as it should. Thanks!
Great!
That's 10 hp right there, I am loving it 😍
Worked a treat. Took me seconds. Watched other videos but they were too long but I suppose they were made before this method came to light.
Mine was awful. Had ordered a blue one for my lemans blue e93. Used simple double sided tape and it worked like a charm! Thank you!
Hey, tried that today, and it works. Thanks, have a nice day

Great editing! ;)
Love you videos..short n useful 👍🏻
Nice to see some E90 Content !!!
Thanks!
Should have hit up the trim around the button, sand and some flat black paint and it looks like new.
Is this only for e90s??... Will it work on the X1 e84?
aww dang one of the black rubber things fell inside and there's only one.. works fine but what should I do?
If you don't have clay, I found electrical tape to work as well. Honestly any tape kinda works as long as its sticky enough.
And you just pulled the button with no issues? I’m worried to rip something.

I watch another TH-camr "Nour" change his start/stop button. Thanks for the info.
