Bro, the KV-1 used to be super easy to deal with Literally didn’t even care if I saw it, as it was an inconvenience to shoot it almost with my Italian 90mm Now, idk what they did like 3 maybe 4 updates back But that turret is SOOO trolly Rounds just get absorbed randomly, it’s like the KV-1 turret can teleport incoming rounds into the 6th dimension
Bruh this is so fucking true I even had a battle where a teammate was bitching up a storm calling everyone stupid and useless and when I looked not only was he at the bottom of the score board but he kept going to same way out in the open spot only to get killed by the enemies hidden in the tree line next to him.
Every time I play the KV-1, I am always up against the big boys at 5.0. Then again, a lot of videos and fun times is when you are actually in a decent BR. I don't know what to do at 5.0 with 90mm of pen at close range.

new player's understanding of "fun": 2:12 standing around in spawn and doing nothing standing behind a cap that is already being held with no intent to even defend it standing in front of a cap that you should be pushing, but you are a scared coward so you just stand around uselessly you think that the noobs who are getting dunked on are having a tough time? trying to win a game when your team does not even show up to the match AT ALL is much worse.

I remember how I once got killed 3x in a row by some 8 kill guy with a 3 k/d and then I looked at his entire match and noticed what he does and improved my playstyle a lot. Literally, just fucking listen. 1) He listened a lot, sounds in war thunder do not spread realistically - buildings do not stop sound propagation. You can hear exactly where a tank is if you have headphones. 2) always be where they don't expect you. Find good spots .

KV-1 Zis 5 is my favorite russian tank to play. Super ez to rack up kills from german player (if you know where to shoot) and I get 8-10 kill games when i get down tiered. Overall super fun to bounce every single shot from American tanks.
I think it was around 2.7 br and I was playing Italy 🇮🇹 I found another guy playing Italy 🇮🇹 and we follow eachother. A show up KV-1 causin havoc, and we barely destroyed tracks and barrel. He repaired and kill us, we respawned and tried again, only to discover that Italy 🇮🇹 at 2.7 don't have anything that can pen a KV-1 anywhere and we died again.
I started my swedish tanks recently and im still at 2.7 and usually get teams like that... Combining with the hard-sucking-low-tier swed tanks it's just painful xD

Pain, suffering, frustration, questioning your lifechoices. But thanks to the grind if you dont buy any premium and dont play too excessively you´ll only start to suffer in HT in probably half a year or year.

If you destroy tracks and barrel and get behind the kv, you can shoot into it’s engine compartment and set it on fire, eventually killing it
