It's okay to not clean on some days and leave all the mess. But if the house gets this messy everyday then we should start teaching our kids to take care of their stuff. My mom told us to keep the toys where they were before we started playing with them. She didn't beat us or anything but she made sure we knew about our little responsibilities.

    • @cynthiacarr7387
      @cynthiacarr7387 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Exactly. I was going to write and say the exact same thing. It will help with her mental issues and it will help the children understand their are responsibilities and consequences like "We can't play dominoes until you put away your clothes and toys." Mom should not be trying to do everything herself.

@@TheQueenebb I feel you being a mom of 6 myself having a 12 and 24 month year Olds then 5 and 6 and 13 and 16 year Olds. It gets overwhelming sometimes, but I notice my kids only give up or stop if I do. Because ove trained them to help and how to keep up with their things. Putting toys away Putting dirty clothes in bins dishes in the sink or dishwasher, when I wash and fold clothes everyone come get their piles and put them in their drawers school clothes in school drawers undies and socks in undies drawers. When they come home from school they hang their jackets and backpack up in the designated areas I have for them to hang those items and shoes go lined up in those designated areas. If we teach and train our kids from a small age it helps keep their little precious minds uncluttered. It's only a hard job if we the moms let it become that. And by teaching them those small things makes my job alot easier and the family is more happy and we actually get to enjoy our home and each other. We can't function in mess. Use time spent with kids as teachable moments as well. Instill things in them that will help them into adult hood.

Kids have SO MUCH energy! Put it to good use👍. What worked for me when my kids were little was to have a "Treasure Box" on top of the fridge -- (cardboard box w/random surprises.. Happy Meal toys, stickers, craft supplies, getting to choose which movie we watched, etc.), Then when they'd earned check marks all week for putting toys & shoes where they belong/not bickering/unloading dishwasher (I loaded dirty dishes, baby sister put clean silverware away, big sis put away clean dishes) they got a reward from the Treasure Box on Friday nights👯😁. *They were excited & proud of themselves, & wanted to do more. Eventually it became a habit.*
This mom in the video is brave and her children are adorable! Best of luck to them. I'm going to check out her TikToks......

How hard is to teach a kid to throw his dirty clothes into a basket? It is very unlikely she had 4 kids at the same time so how about being responsible instead of trying to repopulate earth again. It doesn't look like a poor family so stuff that makes cleaning easier are there. There is a problem somewhere and it's not these delusional ideas that she has mental illness. I also saw a man in the house. He needs to step in and help her. If that means getting the kids in line to help their mom clean up, then so be it. If he's just sitting around doing nothing, he's part of her problem.
I believe this is deeper than what we're seeing in this video. A woman with normal energy levels, decent mental/physical health, and supportive partner won't live like that.

So first thing is order in your life in your house we need order to keep us online and rules. That mess can be avoided if you put some rules i have 5 children and they have never made that mess they were given guidance how to play. They could play even with Paint but as long as what they got out to play they put away and it woks for most of us.

I’m OCD so seeing this made me really sad that you going through this. You should really teach your kids to really pick up after themselves so you don’t have a lot on your plate cause that stresses someone. You don’t deserve all that mess. My daughter just turned 1 and she knows when she makes a mess to put her toys back in her toy box and pick up her trash and throw it the garbage and her clothes to put in the laundry basket yes it’s took a lot of time to teach her that but it’s only so they could grow up and know mommy is not going to be able to do this all the time or always be in this world. My son is 5 and he knows the same thing since he was 1 also with the help of my mom she helped me teach him. Especially cause with him I went through deep depression and being OCD just had me cleaning 24/7 and I still had time for my kids. Now I’m currently pregnant with my 3rd son and I teach my kids to help me and help one another. You got this mama don’t let your house get this outta hand have them help you.

Of course some people get away with it. Its also time landlords stop giving lower incomed people a bad time. Not that Im proud of it but my hands look like a ranchers because I clean constantly yet when I had to move recently I could not get ONE landlord to rent to me because they think people with credit scores of 600 and income less than 9,000 a month means you are not reliable. well at least here in ca. so many of us poor or struggling people did not or do not have nice houses like this lady. so much wasted on people who cant even keep their house in order. and people who barely have a shack can respect their living space so much better than this. do you not tell your kids to put food items/cereal boxes away when they are finished?Lady, this is not normal. the only excuse a person would have to let their home get like this is if they are severely incapacitated. but if you are, would you be having so many kids and even a pet? I feel bad for them. this lady has a mouth/voice so she can teach those kids order and how to clean their messes up every day. WTH.

It didn’t make sense to me until she mentioned she deals with depression and anxiety and I was like oh I get it now. Have the kids help you with the cleaning and also get rid of crap. We don’t need as much as the ads makes us think we do. Get a couple of hampers for the bathroom and rooms that’ll help!

Sending love and light to this woman. Depression is like trying to walk with a ton of bricks on your back. One thing that helped me from feeling overwhelmed was to make a to do list before going to bed and focus solely on that list the next day. Put kids on a schedule, with allotted play time and make sure they stick to it. Bedtime is concrete because you have to have time for yourself especially since you are carrying everything.

I think there is a real balance between super mess and super clean. This person has nothing to be ashamed of for sure so I don't want to be misconstrued. I also do appreciate honesty on social media in times where it seems like so many people are actually posting lies on their channels and trying to chase that perfect self image. Incidentally these are the people I usually her saying "this is real life" while they are picking up some little bit of things that never was out of hand at all, in effort to be relatable. But going the other direction...I have also seen TH-cam videos that are hours long every week by moms who let their house go to complete shambles and then film themselves cleaning it all in one day for "motivation". If you watch these people more than once you start to see that they are really learning nothing to help themselves unless living in filth is literally part of their job because TH-cam cleaning videos etc is how they make money. So I can respect someone telling it like it is but also hoping it's nothing to aspire to.
Also consider moms...please esp if you have anxiety or depression that living in this much chaos contributes to it being worse. It's worth it to take care of the so you have a nice place to live because you deserve to live in a nice place. It's part of taking care of yourself and it's part of taking care of your kids. And it's part of financial responsibility to take care of things instead of letting them get damaged or lost.
If you have struggled like this I hope you find a way to get them under control. Not for views. Not because you're ashamed. Not at the expense of time with your kids. But as an act of love for yourself and your family. And there's lots of ways to do it. You can start with decluttering. If that's not possible look at ways to store things better, more sensibly so you aren't digging and messing to find things. If that's not the problem work out a routine that you can do little bits every day in 5 or 10 min increments throughout the day. You can also stack tasks and work a little ahead to keep messes isolated such as chopping a bag of onions instead of just one, freeze them, then you have some the next 5 times you cook without making mess or taking the time. Regardless of what else is happening the housework should not fall on one person. Even toddlers can have chores. Everyone can take jobs or have races to be things done before going on a family outing.
Just ideas here. I don't wanna be that person who judges moms that are just keeping it real and can't do it all. You don't have to be perfect. But I lived in a house like that and worse and it affected me pretty deeply. I knew my parents loved me but couldn't have friends over.i didn't want to do anything because nobody else was doing anything because it wasn't fun to clean. I didn't trust freshness of food in the house or how clean were the dishes. I grew up replacing things I couldn't find rather than looking for it. It led to my own anxiety and bad habits.

i totally understand this and go through such phases. my two Autistic kids make it so much more harder for me to manage everything alone. I am usually cooking and feeding them endlessly and then on a toilet round to make sure they are cleaned. Thankfully my husband helps out regularly and we have resorted to just donating any unused stuff to charities or filling the recycling bag with broken plastic toys etc. It's pure hard work. Keep going strong.

It feels....a bit like an excuse. Most living beings deal with anxiety. Choosing to play kiddie games with the mess all around - how is that good parenting? She could've made a game of cleaning with the kids; that would've still qualified as quality time. An unclean home can lead to bigger issues like child neglect.

  • @mackenziegilley8716

Point blank...she's not teaching her kids to clean up after themselves and that is not doing them any favors...borders on child abuse in my opinion! This house is unfit for those kids to live in and I feel sorry for them growing up thinking this is ok....it's very unhealthy!

  • @fortheloveofmusic860

She doesn't want to realise that a cleaned up house would make her feel better. And that her cleaning teaches her kids as well. You don't tell kids how to live, but you live and act how you want them to live and act.

Dirty environments cause depression, clean your nasty house and maybe your "mental issues" will improve. I feel so bad for the kids living in this mess. The poor kids probably have issues too. I clean every single day with two kids, I dont miss out on anything and my kids know what a house should look like... Lazy parents

Its okay to let things go for a day, but who are we kidding to think that is one day's worth of mess? I hate how they always make it an either or thing. You don't have to clean 24/7 but you do have to clean every few days. Also doesn't hurt to teach your kids to clean up after themselves so they don't grow up to think other people are responsible to clean up after them.
