I’ve a 703plus. Couldn’t be happier. As an M7 it keeps me behaving myself while have zero chance of blowing up expensive linears on cb bands. I use it mobile and that’s where the renowned superior receive on the 703 excels.
Marmite Rules The World Brenton lol.....Great Video and just spotted an IC-703 over here in the UK.........And I will be using it on CB lol.......Take Care....73's
I wish Icom would have kept making the 703+. It really is a great little radio. I own an Elecraft KX2 and a KX3 but no way am I parting with my IC703+. It just has so many easy to access features. I have the 500 hz CW filter in mine but I wish they made a 350 hz filter for the 703 just like they did for the 706 series radios. Barry, KU3X/QRP
PS: I forgot.......you have an S8 noise level. "Why would you keep your pre amp on?" All you are doing is amplifying the noise ! Also, like your 990S. BK
I have a 703+. Does anyone know if there is a program that can be used to program the memory channels? RTSystems sells a cable for programming the radio, but they say "software available from other vendors." Who might that be?
@Richard 2E0FJJ - QRP is up to 5 watts for CW and up to 10 watts is allowed for SSB Voice. This makes the ICOM IC-703 the perfect QRP Rig. I have both the FT-817nd and the IC-703 plus. I love them both! 73!
Great. Watching this helped make my mind up to buy a 703 for this year's QRP contests. Nice one.

QRP is anything upto 5 watts. 10 watts is not QRP.
